Lincoln Homer Jackson (September 25,1907 –November 1970) was an American baseball first baseman in the Negro leagues. [1] He played with the Cuban House of David in 1932, [2] Pollock's Cuban Stars in 1933 and the Baltimore Black Sox in 1934. [3]
James Henry Winters,Jr.,nicknamed "Nip" and "Jesse",was a pitcher and first baseman in Negro league baseball,playing for many top eastern teams from 1920 to 1933,and considered one of the top left-handed pitchers of his day.
Valentín Dreke was a Cuban baseball outfielder in the Negro leagues. He played from 1919 to 1927,doing so with the Cuban Stars (East) and Cuban Stars (West). He also played winter ball with the famed Almendares team on three occasions. He led the Negro National League in batting average in 1924,hitting .389 in 46 games played. In his eight years of Negro league ball,he batted at least .296 in each season. He died of tuberculosis in 1929. He was elected to the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame in 1945.
Rafael Figarola González was a Cuban baseball catcher in the Cuban League and Negro leagues. He played from 1905 to 1923 with several clubs,including Almendares,the Fe club,the Habana club,the Lincoln Giants,the Brooklyn Royal Giants,and the Cuban Stars (West). Figarola was elected to the Cuban Baseball Hall of Fame in 1950. He was also listed as Jose Figarola.
