Vaughan is a city in Ontario,Canada. It is located in the Regional Municipality of York,just north of Toronto. Vaughan was the fastest-growing municipality in Canada between 1996 and 2006 with its population increasing by 80.2% during this time period and having nearly doubled in population since 1991. It is the fifth-largest city in the Greater Toronto Area,and the 17th-largest city in Canada.
Julian Fantino,,is a Canadian retired police official and former politician. He was the Conservative Party of Canada Member of the Parliament of Canada for the riding of Vaughan following a November 29,2010 by-election,until his defeat in 2015. He was defeated by Liberal candidate Francesco Sorbara in the 2015 election.
Maurizio Bevilacqua is a Canadian politician who served as the 4th mayor of Vaughan from 2010 to 2022. He was a Liberal member of Parliament (MP) from 1988 to 2010 and was one of eleven candidates for the 2006 leadership contest,but dropped out of the race on August 14,2006.
