Link Academy (Missouri)

Link Academy is a boarding school just outside of Branson, Missouri. [1] [2] Known for its basketball teams, it won the 2023 Men's GEICO National Championship. [3] It was founded by former college basketball player Adam Donyes. [4]

It was notable for its successful boys' basketball program. On January 26, 2018, the school closed its doors without warning and informed parents Saturday January 27, 2018, that it shut down.

Each year the Alabama Mr. Basketball award is given to the person chosen as the best high school boys basketball player in the U.S. state of Alabama. The award winner is selected by members of the Alabama Sports Writers Association.

Achiuwa played college basketball for the Memphis Tigers, earning conference player of the year honors as a freshman in the American Athletic Conference (AAC) in 2020. He was selected by the Miami Heat in the first round of the 2020 NBA draft with the 20th overall pick. After his rookie year ended in Miami, he was traded to the Toronto Raptors during the 2021 offseason.

Duren was ranked as the top player in the 2022 class before reclassifying.
