Musiktheater im Revier (MiR) is the venue for performing opera, operetta, musical theatre and ballet in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. It opened on 15 December 1959; it is listed since 1997 as a protected cultural monument.
Regina is an opera in three acts by Albert Lortzing who also wrote the libretto. It was composed in 1848, the year of the revolutions in the German states and during Europe's "Springtime of the Peoples", but it was not premiered until 21 March 1899 when it was performed at the Berlin State Opera. It is a "Freiheitsoper" and the first opera which takes place in a factory with workers who strike and chant freedom songs. The first production of the original opera was in 1998 at the Musiktheater im Revier in Gelsenkirchen.

The Klavier-Festival Ruhr is an annual festival of piano music, which takes place in the area of the Ruhr in Germany. The festival runs from around the beginning of May for three months. The organizer of the festival is the Stiftung Klavier-Festival Ruhr, and the art leader is Franz Xaver Ohnesorg. The festival was founded in 1988.

She taught both classical singing and pop singing at music universities.
Allen Yu is a Taiwanese dancer and choreographer. Trained as an engineer at the National Kaohsiung Institute of Technology, Yu attended Chinese Culture University before accepting a scholarship to the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. He performed and choreographed throughout Europe, in Belgium, Germany, and Austria, while maintaining a periodic affiliation with Chamber Ballet Taipei in Taiwan. Yu returned to Taiwan in 2015 to lead that dance company, which he renamed Formosa Ballet.
