The club's men's and women's basketball teams compete at the local level at the Luanda Provincial Basketball Championship and at the Men's, and Women's domestic leagues as well as at continental level at the annual Africa Basketball League competitions.

C.D. Primeiro de Agosto (handball)

Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto is an Angolan multisports club based in Luanda. The club is attached to the Angolan Armed Forces which is its main sponsor. The club's men's and women's handball teams compete at the local level, at the Luanda Provincial Handball Championship and at the Angolan Men's and Women's leagues as well as at continental level, at the annual African Handball Champions League competitions.

The African Women's Handball Super Cup or Super Cup Babacar Fall is an annual international club handball competition run by the African Handball Confederation. It's between the winners of the Champions League and the Cup Winners' Cup.

The Angola women's national handball team Under-17 represents Angola in international handball competitions and is controlled by the Federação Angolana de Andebol. At continental level, it competes at the African Women's Youth Handball Championship which qualifies for the IHF Women's Youth World Championship. Angola has been a member of the IHF since 1979.

Angola at the 2016 Summer Olympics Sporting event delegation

Angola competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, from 5 to 21 August 2016. This was the nation's ninth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics, with the exception of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, because of its participation in the Soviet boycott.

Angola at the 2020 Summer Olympics Sporting event delegation

Angola competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's tenth appearance at the Summer Olympics, having appeared in every Games since 1980 with the exception of the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, when it was part of the Soviet boycott.
