Primeiro de Agosto Women's Handball

Primeiro de Agosto Women's Handball team is the only African club in all sports to become a World Club Champion. They accomplished this feat by winning the first edition of the IHF Women's Super Globe in 2019. [16]

The Angolan Handball Cup is an annual, nationwide handball competition contested by all eligible handball clubs in the country. The cup, organized by the Angolan Handball Federation is the second most important official handball competition in Angola, following the national league.

The 2015 Angola Basketball Super Cup was contested by Recreativo do Libolo, as the 2014 league champion and Petro Atlético, the 2014 cup winner. Petro Atlético won its 6th title.

The 2016 African Handball Super Cup, also known as Babacar Fall Super Cup, in honour of the first chairman of the African Handball Confederation, was a handball competition organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the auspices of the International Handball Federation, the handball sport governing body. The matches, held on 5 May 2016 in Laayoune, Western Sahara, were contested by Zamalek, the 2015 African Handball Champions League winner and Espérance Sportive de Tunis, the 2015 African Handball Cup Winners' Cup winner, on the man's side and Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto, the 2015 African Women's Handball Champions League winner and Africa Sports National, the 2015 African Women's Handball Cup Winners' Cup runner-up. ES Tunis, on the man's side and Primeiro de Agosto, on the woman's side, were the winners.

The 2006 Taça de Angola was the 25th edition of the Taça de Angola, the second most important and the top knock-out football club competition following the Girabola.

The 2018 Angola Handball Super Cup was contested by Primeiro de Agosto, as the 2017 league champion and Interclube, the 2017 cup winner. Interclube won its 6th title.
