Conversation (With)

This is the channel's one-on-one interview programme, presented by Lin Xueling.

Past guests who have been interviewed on the show include former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, [1] Prime Minister-in-waiting Anwar Ibrahim, [2] Coca-Cola Company's President James Quincey, [3] [4] Twitter's Chief Executive Officer Jack Dorsey [5] and notable Malaysian author Tash Aw. Correspondents' Diary

Correspondents across the region bring highlights of news stories and features in their respective cities. The show has a runtime of thirty minutes and is presented by one of CNA's weeknight presenters.

CNA's award-winning investigative documentary series. The programme is temporarily on hiatus.

Insight

Insight investigates and analyses topical issues that impact Asia and the rest of the world.

Japan Hour

A 60-minute block featuring Japanese travel, food and culture, the programme is brought over from NHK World TV and TV Tokyo in Japan and is subtitled in English. Japan Hour, owing to copyright restrictions, is not available for live streaming outside Singapore.

Gangnam Insider's Picks

A 30-minute programme featuring places, food and culture found within Seoul's Gangnam District; produced and originally broadcast by South Korea-based international broadcaster Arirang TV.

Money Mind

Money Mind discusses the economy, markets, companies, financial products, and trends.

CNA Insider Documentaries

Various documentaries that are relevant to current events affecting Asia. These documentaries are available on demand through CNA's website and CNA Insider's Youtube channel after broadcast.

News bulletins

Asia First

A news and current affairs programme. [18] Out of all other news bulletins, the show has only the longest runtime of three hours, starting at 07:00 SIN/HK. Asia First is a consolidation of two morning news predecessors: First Look Asia and Asia Business First. The programme is presented by the latter's holdovers Adam Bakhtiar and Julie Yoo. A half-hour weekly summary is aired on weekends.

Asia First and its predecessor First Look Asia were simulcast on Channel 5 as de facto breakfast shows in Singapore. Simulcasts on 5 were cancelled after 30 April 2019 to accommodate children's programs previously aired on Okto which closed down the following day.

Asia Now

Monitoring developments in Asia, Asia Now brings the latest stories and breaking news to viewers. The rolling bulletin airs at various times of the day; running time and timeslots vary between weekdays and weekends/Singapore public holidays.

Asia Tonight

CNA's flagship regional bulletin, reporting roundup of the top stories of the day across Asia, with occasional world news delivered on an Asian perspective. Asia Tonight airs nightly at 8:00pm SGT; in contrast to Singapore Tonight, the bulletin runs for a full hour on weeknights, with a half-hour edition on weekends and if significant Asian countries (particularly business sectors) observe common public holidays.

Headlines

A 2-minute update summarising the main stories across the region and around the world. Headlines are delivered in between CNA's news and current affairs programmes.

News Now

Tracking the latest happenings in across the region and the rest of the world, News Now brings the latest stories and breaking news to viewers. Formerly a rolling bulletin title, News Now is reduced to a standalone nightly bulletin at midnight, with daytime slots replaced by Asia Now.

Singapore Tonight

CNA's local bulletin, delivering up-to-date news and analysis within Singapore. Airing nightly at 10:00pm SGT, the bulletin runs for a full hour on weeknights, and 30 minutes on weekends and key Singapore public holidays.

Along with CNBC Asia, the channel is operated by the Singapore-headquartered CNBC subsidiary company CNBC International, which is in turn wholly owned by NBCUniversal.

<i>BBC North West Tonight</i> television series

BBC North West Tonight is a regional news programme covering North West England and the Isle of Man. Produced by BBC North West, the programme airs at 6.30pm and 10:30pm each weeknight with shorter bulletins seven days a week. The programme is broadcast from the BBC's MediaCityUK studios at Salford Quays, with district newsrooms based in Liverpool, Blackburn and Chester.

Mediacorp Pte. Ltd. is Singaporean corporation that serves as the national public broadcaster for both radio and television. As a mass media conglomerate, it holds interests in radio broadcasting, television broadcasting and digital content creation. It runs 6 television channels, 11 radio stations, and an on-demand streaming service, MeWatch, making it the largest media business in Singapore. It is owned by Temasek Holdings, an investment company headquartered in Singapore.

Nine News is the national news service of the Nine Network in Australia.

Television in Singapore began on 15 February 1963. The public broadcaster, MediaCorp TV, has a monopoly on terrestrial television channels and is fully owned by government holding company Temasek Holdings. Local pay TV operators are StarHub TV and Singtel TV. The private ownership of satellite dishes is banned.

Channel 5 (Singapore) English television channel in Singapore

Channel 5 is a 24-hour Singapore English free-to-air nationwide terrestrial television channel. Its programming mainly consists of English language dramas, movies, sports, reality show, variety show, news, current affairs, children's programming and game shows. Local editions of imported programmes such as Singapore Idol, Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and Deal or No Deal have also been aired on the channel.

Mishal Husain British journalist and news presenter

Mishal Husain is a British newsreader for BBC Television and BBC Radio. She is the main Sunday presenter of the BBC News at Ten and BBC Weekend News and the main presenter of BBC Radio 4's Today. She has hosted HARDtalk, Impact_(TV_programme) and BBC Breakfast. Husain is also a relief presenter of the BBC News at Six.

CNA (news channel) English language Asia-Pacific news channel based in Singapore

CNA is an English-language news channel based in Singapore. It broadcasts free-to-air domestically and as a subscription network to 29 territories across Asia and Australia.

ABC News is a public news service in Australia produced by the News and Current Affairs division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. The division is responsible for all news-gathering and production of news output for ABC television, radio and online services. Although the ABC is owned and funded by the Australian Government, the editorial independence of the ABC is ensured through the Australian Broadcasting Corporation Act 1983.

<i>Virgin Media News</i>

Virgin Media News is the news division of Virgin Media Television in the Republic of Ireland, owned by Liberty Global. The news division produces news and current affairs programming for free-to-air channels Virgin Media One, Virgin Media Two and Virgin Media Three, online (virginmediatelevision.ie), on-demand (Virgin Media Player and on mobile.

Okto on 5 is a daily children's program block on Mediacorp's Channel 5. The block airs daily during 5's morning and midafternoon time slots.

<i>STV News</i> Scottish regional news service

STV News is a Scottish news service produced by STV. The news department produces three regional services covering STV's two Channel 3 franchise areas of Northern and Central Scotland.

The Eleventh East Asia Summit was held in Vientiane, Laos on September 6–8, 2016. The East Asia Summit is an annual meeting of national leaders from the East Asian region and adjoining countries.

Htin Kyaw Burmese politician and scholar serving as the 9th President of Myanmar

Htin Kyaw is a Burmese politician, writer and scholar who served as the 9th President of Myanmar from 30 March 2016 to 21 March 2018. He was the first elected president to hold the office with no ties to the military since the 1962 coup d'état. The second son of scholar Min Thu Wun, Htin Kyaw had held various positions in the education, planning and treasury ministries in prior governments.

<i>Nine News Queensland</i> television series

Nine News Queensland is the flagship state-based news bulletin of the Nine Network in Brisbane. It is screened across south-east Queensland on weeknights, while on weekends it is screened state-wide as well as in the Northern Territory. Like all Nine News bulletins, the Queensland bulletin runs for one hour, from 6PM every day. It comprises local, national and international news, as well as sport, weather and finance.

Twelfth East Asia Summit

The Twelfth East Asia Summit was held in Pasay, Philippines on November 13–14, 2017. The East Asia Summit is an annual meeting of national leaders from the East Asian region and adjoining countries.

Conversation With (CW) is a Singapore television programme broadcast on Asian news network CNA. The show has been on the air for 22 years and was twice nominated for Best Talk Show at the Asian Television Awards. Notable guests on the interview show include former US President Barack Obama and Nobel Peace Prize recipient Aung San Suu Kyi.

The Fourteenth East Asia Summit was held in Bangkok, Thailand on November 4, 2019. The East Asia Summit is an annual meeting of national leaders from the East Asian region and adjoining countries. EAS has evolved as forum for strategic dialogue and cooperation on political, security and economic issues of common regional concern and plays an important role in the regional architecture.
