The Connacht Senior Football Championship, known simply as the Connacht Championship and shortened to Connacht SFC, is an annual Gaelic football competition for the senior county teams of Connacht GAA. The Connacht Minor Football Championship is an annual Gaelic football competition organised by the Connacht Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association since 1928 for the youngest competitors in the province of Connacht in Ireland. It is currently sponsored by Electric Ireland and therefore officially known as the Electric Ireland Connacht GAA Football Minor Championship.

The 2018 Connacht Senior Football Championship was the 119th installment of the annual Connacht Senior Football Championship organised by Connacht GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2018 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. Unlike previous seasons, where the Connacht champions earned a place in the quarter-finals, this year's winners advanced to the new "All-Ireland Super 8s".

The 2019 Connacht Senior Football Championship is the 120th installment of the annual Connacht Senior Football Championship organised by Connacht GAA. It is one of the four provincial competitions of the 2019 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. As of 2018 the competition winners advanced to the "All-Ireland Super 8s".

The 2019–20 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 50th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1970-71. The championship began on 20 October 2019 and ended on 19 January 2020.

The 2022 FBD Insurance Connacht GAA Senior Football Competition was an inter-county Gaelic football competition in the province of Connacht. All five Connacht county teams participated, but no college or university teams. All games took place at the Connacht GAA Centre of Excellence under the new air-supported dome, the first inter-county games to take place under a roof.

The 2023 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 136th edition of the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament since its establishment in 1887. Thirty one of the thirty two Irish counties took part – Kilkenny did not compete, while London and New York completed the lineup.

Jack Glynn is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Claregalway club and the Galway county team.

FBD 2023 was an inter-county Gaelic football competition in the province of Connacht, the successor to the FBD Insurance League. All five Connacht county teams participated. All games took place at the University of Galway Connacht GAA Airdome under the air-supported dome for the second year in a row. Mayo were the winners, for the first time since 2012.
