Altica Genus of beetles

Altica is a large genus of flea beetles in the subfamily Galerucinae, with about 300 species, distributed nearly worldwide. The genus is best represented in the Neotropical realm, well represented in the Nearctic and Palearctic, but occurs also in the Afrotropic, Indomalaya, and Australasia. The species are similar to each other, small metallic blue-green-bronze beetles, often distinguished from each other only by the aedeagus. The species of Altica, both as larvae and as adults, are phytophagous, feeding on plant foliage of various food plant taxa, specific for each Altica species. Onagraceae and Rosaceae are the dominant host plant families for Holarctic species. The adult Altica beetles are able to jump away when approached.

Cymindis Genus of beetles

Cymindis is a genus of ground beetle native to the Palearctic, the Near East, and North Africa. It contains the following species:

Lebia Genus of beetles

Lebia is a genus of predatory ground beetles. Common names include colorful foliage ground beetles and flat ground beetles. They are found worldwide and there over 700 species in 17 subgenera.

Acmaeodera Genus of beetles

Acmaeodera is a genus of beetles in the family Buprestidae, a group of metallic wood-boring beetles favored by insect collectors. Whereas most beetles including most buprestids fly with their elytra held out and vibrating their hindwings to give lift and thrust, Acmaedodera, however, fly with their hind wings only — the elytra are fused down the center and form a shield over the insect's abdomen, even during flight. This fact, combined with the banding across the abdomen which is common in this family, gives many of them a distinct wasp-like appearance when in flight. Several are therefore considered hymenopteran mimics.

Anelaphus Genus of beetles

Anelaphus is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, first described by Earle Linsley in 1936.

Rhopalophora (beetle) Genus of beetles

Rhopalophora is a genus of beetles in the family Cerambycidae, containing the following species:

Trichodes Genus of beetles

Trichodes is a genus of checkered beetle belonging to the family Cleridae, subfamily Clerinae.

Athous Genus of beetles

Athous is a genus of click beetles belonging to the family Elateridae.

Epicauta Genus of beetles

Epicauta is a genus of beetles in the blister beetle family, Meloidae. The genus was first scientifically described in 1834 by Pierre François Marie Auguste Dejean. Epicauta is distributed nearly worldwide, with species native to all continents except Australia and Antarctica. Surveys have found the genus to be particularly diverse in northern Arizona in the United States. Few species occur in the Arctic, with none farther north than the southern Northwest Territory of Canada.

Enoclerus Genus of beetles

Enoclerus is a genus of checkered beetles in the subfamily Clerinae.

Isohydnocera Genus of beetles

Isohydnocera is a genus of checkered beetles in the family Cleridae. There are about 14 described species in Isohydnocera.

Phyllobaenus Genus of beetles

Phyllobaenus is a genus of checkered beetles in the family Cleridae. There are at least 60 described species in Phyllobaenus.

Ormiscus is a genus of fungus weevils in the family Anthribidae. There are at least 60 described species in Ormiscus.

Pelonides Genus of beetles

Pelonides is a genus of checkered beetles in the family Cleridae. There are about seven described species in Pelonides.

Pelonium Genus of beetles

Pelonium is a genus of checkered beetles in the family Cleridae. There are about 19 described species in Pelonium.
