| Goblin Slayer and his party head out to the mountains to search for another party led by Noble Fencer, who had gone missing after taking a goblin extermination quest. After liberating a village from a goblin raid, the party continues further up the mountain where they discover a goblin nest in a cave. They clear out the nest and find Noble Fencer alive, but tortured and branded by the goblins, suggesting to Goblin Slayer that these goblins are led by a Goblin Paladin. Noble Fencer explains that she and her party were able to easily handle the goblins at first, but they were caught in a trap when they tried to lay siege to the goblin nest, resulting in Noble Fencer's capture the deaths of the rest of her party. Goblin Slayer decides to investigate a nearby Dwarven fortress. He, Dwarven Mage, and Lizard Priest pose as bandits who captured Priestess, High Elf Archer, and Noble Fencer. Upon entering the castle, Goblin Slayer finds signs of the Goblin Paladin trying to build and arm an army of goblins, and sabotages their weapons and food supplies while rescuing their prisoners. The party then flees the fortress with Goblin Paladin and his forces in pursuit. Goblin Slayer fights the Goblin Paladin in a duel and defeats him, recovering Noble Fencer's sword in the process. He then orders Noble Fencer to use her lightning magic to cause an avalanche that buries the Goblin Paladin's army. Victorious, the party returns home where the other adventurers are celebrating the new year. However, Goblin Slayer remains on watch in case goblins decide to attack during the festivities, so Priestess joins him.
