List of Hockey East Women's Ice Hockey Tournament champions

The Hockey East Championship was held in Boston from its inception in 2003 until 2007. The event was held at Northeastern's Matthews Arena in 2003 and 2004 before moving to BU's Walter Brown Arena in 2005. The tournament returned to Matthews Arena in 2006, was held at UNH's Whittemore Center in 2007, and at UConn's Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum in 2008. The tournament went back to UNH in 2009, Providence in 2010, and the last campus to host was Boston University in 2011. The tournament moved to Hyannis MA in 2012 and was held there until 2015. [1] In 2016, the tournament was moved to team venues.

The Hockey East Association, also known as Hockey East, is a college ice hockey conference which operates entirely in New England. It participates in the NCAA's Division I as a hockey-only conference.

New Hampshire Wildcats womens ice hockey

The New Hampshire Wildcats represent the University of New Hampshire. They have won five ECAC championships between 1986 and 1996. When the Wildcats joined Hockey East, they won four Hockey East titles from 2006 to 2009. The Wildcats have more wins than any other women's ice hockey program at 668 in its first 32 years. The Wildcats went undefeated in their initial 74 games (73-0-1) spanning the 1978 through 1982 seasons. A UNH goaltender has been declared Hockey East Goaltending Champion in the first six years of the league's existence. From 2007 to 2009, UNH hosted NCAA Tournament Regional home games.

The Boston College Eagles women's ice hockey team represent Boston College in the NCAA and participate in Hockey East. The Eagles are coached by former Olympic gold medallist Katie King-Crowley and play their home games at Conte Forum. They have won the Hockey East championship three times, and made seven trips to the Frozen Four of the NCAA tournament.

The Boston University Terriers women's ice hockey represent Boston University. The Terriers play in the Hockey East conference. From 2010 to 2015, the Terriers won five Hockey East Championships and made six consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances.

Jenn Wakefield Canadian ice hockey player

Jennifer Dorothy June Wakefield is a Canadian ice hockey player and a member of the Canada women's national ice hockey team. She was a substitute for the women's team that participated in 2010 Winter Olympics and played on the gold-medal winning team at the 2014 Winter Olympics, and the silver-medal winning team at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The Boston University Terriers women's hockey team will represent Boston University in the 2010–11 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The Terriers are coached by Brian Durocher and they were the first team in Hockey East to qualify for the NCAA Frozen Four championship game. In addition, Catherine Ward became the first Terriers player to be recognized as an All-American selection. Ward also set a program single-season record for most assists in one season with 27.

Merrimack Warriors womens ice hockey

The Merrimack Warriors women's ice hockey team is a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I women's college ice hockey program. The Warriors are a new member of Hockey East. They play at the 2,549-seat J. Thom Lawler Arena in North Andover, Massachusetts.

The 2017 Hockey East Men's Ice Hockey Tournament was played between March 3 and March 18, 2017 at campus locations and at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The Massachusetts–Lowell River Hawks defeated the Boston College Eagles by a score of 4–3 to earn their 3rd Hockey East championship in school history, the third in five years, and earn Hockey East's automatic bid into the 2017 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament. C. J. Smith was named tournament MVP.

The 2020–21 Boston College Eagles men's ice hockey team represented Boston College in the 2020–21 NCAA Division I men's ice hockey season. The team was coached by Jerry York, '67, his twenty-seventh season behind the bench at Boston College. The Eagles played their home games at Kelley Rink on the campus of Boston College, competing in Hockey East.

The 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season began in November 2020 and ended with the 2021 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament's championship game at Erie Insurance Arena in Erie, Pennsylvania on March 20, 2021.

Aerin Frankel is an American ice hockey goaltender, currently playing with the Northeastern Huskies of the NCAA. She has been cited as one of the best current collegiate goaltenders and a highly promising prospect for the American national team. She won the Patty Kazmaier Award in 2021.

The 2021 Hockey East Men's Ice Hockey Tournament was played between March 10 and March 20, 2021. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all games were played on campus locations, rather than the semifinal and final match traditionally being hosted at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts. The UMass Minutemen defeated the UMass Lowell River Hawks to earn their 1st Hockey East tournament championship, and earned the conference's automatic bid into the 2021 NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Tournament.

The Northeastern Huskies represented Northeastern University in the Women's Hockey East Association during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. In addition to capturing the regular season title, the Huskies defeated the Providence Friars by a 6–2 mark to win the Hockey East postseason tournament.

2020–21 New Hampshire Wildcats mens ice hockey season

The 2020–21 New Hampshire Wildcats Men's ice hockey season was the 95th season of play for the program and the 37th season in the Hockey East conference. The Wildcats represented the University of New Hampshire and were coached by Mike Souza, in his 3rd season.

The Boston College Eagles represented Boston College in Women's Hockey East Association play during the 2020–21 NCAA Division I women's ice hockey season. The program qualified for the 2021 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament, ranking as the #6 seed. On January 31, 2021, it marked the 500th game together at BC for head coach Katie Crowley and associate head coach Courtney Kennedy.
