Lincoln University is a New Zealand university that was formed in 1990 when Lincoln College, Canterbury was made independent of the University of Canterbury. Its undergraduate study areas include agriculture, commerce, computing, engineering, environment, food, forestry, horticulture, hospitality, landscape, Māori planning, property, recreation, sciences, transport and winemaking.

Lincoln, New Zealand Minor urban area in South Island, New Zealand

Lincoln is a town in the Selwyn District, in the Canterbury Region of New Zealand's South Island. The town is located on the Canterbury Plains to the west of Banks Peninsula, 22 kilometres southwest of Christchurch. The town has a population of 6,100, making it the second largest town in the Selwyn District behind nearby Rolleston.

Rosemary Banks is a New Zealand diplomat and Ambassador-Designate to the United States. She was Ambassador to France and Permanent Representative to the OECD from 2010 to 2014. She was previously New Zealand's Permanent Representative to the United Nations in New York from June 2005 to June 2009. She earlier served as deputy high commissioner to the Solomon Islands (1985–1987), and Australia (1992–1995).

Aung San Suu Kyi has received numerous honours and awards throughout her life for her peace and freedom activism in Burma. However, since the 2016 Rohingya persecution in Myanmar many of these honours have been revoked due to her perceived inaction to stop the crisis.
