There are 48 Iranian news sites according to Minister of Islamic Culture and Guidance there will be only IRNA remaining while all five state news websites are being merged into it as of 2023. [2] [3]

The Islamic Republic News Agency, or IRNA (ایرنا), is the official news agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Founded on 13 November 1934 as Pars News Agency during the time of Reza Shah, it is government-funded and controlled under the Iranian Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance. The agency also publishes the newspaper Iran. As of September 2021, the Managing Director of IRNA is Ali Naderi. IRNA has 60 offices in Iran and 30 more in various countries around the world.

Entekhab was a Persian language newspaper published in Iran between 1991 and 2004. Nevertheless, its news website is active under the name of "Entekhab" (Entekhab.ir) and has turned into one of the most highly visited news websites in Iran, close to reformists.

The Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance is the Ministry of Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It is responsible for managing access to media that, in the view of the Iranian government or the ministry, violates Iranian ethics or promotes values alien to Iranian culture. This may include internet censorship. It also manages the alignment of religion and the law of the country. It was formed by combining the Ministry of Culture and Art, and the Ministry of Information and Tourism. The merging of Ministries reduces the number of employment positions as the number of employable ministries also lessens.

Paramount Crossroads, also known as 15 Khordad Crossroads, is a major intersection in a heavily traveled and central area in Shiraz, Iran. It is the junction of Enqelab-e Eslami Street, Lotfali Khan Street and Qasrodasht Street. There is a fuel station docked on the intersection and Zaytoon Shopping Center is in the immediate area. The junction is often used as an assembly point for protests.

General Culture Council of Iran, is a conservative-dominated body based in Qom and part of Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, was set up at the time of Ayatollah Khomeini. Its decisions can only be overruled by Iran's Supreme Leader. Most of its members were appointed by Ayatollah Khamenei, Khomeini's successor. The President of Iran is ex officio member of the Council and Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance is its co-president. Each province of Iran has also its own General Culture Council.

Fakhr-ol-dowleh mosque (Persian: مسجد فخرالدوله) or Fakhr mosque, originally named Amin-ol-dowleh mosque, is a historic mosque in Fakhrabad street in the Shemiran Gate neighborhood, Tehran. It was designed and built by Nikolai Markov in 1949. Fakhr-ol-dowleh, daughter of Naser al-Din Shah, was the founder of the mosque and named it after her father-in-law, Amin-ol-dowleh. However, the mosque is now called Fakhr or Fakhr-ol-dowleh, after its founder.
