Sunday Night is the longest-running South Korean television entertainment programme airing on MBC. It runs for 175 minutes, including roughly fifteen minutes of advertising. Previously named Big March of Sunday Night when it debuted in 1981, and changing its name to Sunday Sunday Night in 1988, in March 2011, the show has changed its name for the second time in its history in an effort to increase its popularity again at the 5:20PM timeslot, with its rival contenders, KBS2's Happy Sunday and SBS's Good Sunday. As of April 29, 2012, the name was once again changed to its most commonly known abbreviation, Sunday Night (일밤).
I Am a Singer is a popular South Korean singing competition program; a part of MBC's Sunday Night lineup. Loud is a 2021 South Korean boy group survival reality show organised by JYP Entertainment and P Nation. It was a collaboration between Psy and J.Y. Park to form 2 boy groups: one under JYP Entertainment and another one under P Nation. The program involved 75 contestants from different countries with artistic talents competing for a spot in one of the 2 groups. The program premiered on June 5, 2021, and was broadcast every Saturday at 9 PM KST on SBS. During the finale on September 11, two groups were formed, with P Nation's group, TNX, later debuting in 2022, and JYP's group, KickFlip, debuting in January 2025.
My Teenage Girl was a South Korean reality competition series created by Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation. It was intended to form a seven-member girl group with the potential to chart on Billboard. The contestants were put into age groups that specialize in vocals, rapping, and performance. A joint production between MBC and Phunky Studio, the show premiered on November 28, 2021, and was broadcast every Sunday at 9 pm KST for 12 weekly episodes until its finale on February 27, 2022. The finale was broadcast live and announced the seven winners to form Classy.
