Lee Moon-sae (Korean : 이문세; Hanja : 李文世; Korean pronunciation: [iː.munse] ; born January 17, 1959) [1] [2] is a South Korean ballad singer who is often considered a Korean pop icon. [3] [4] Since his debut in 1978, he has released 16 full-length albums, [3] including 1987's When Love Passes By, which sold 2.85 million copies, making it the best-selling album in South Korea to date at the time. [5] He is also well known for being the host of the popular South Korean radio show, Starry Night, on MBC FM, from 1985 to 1996. [6] He was diagnosed with thyroid cancer in 2007. [7]

H.O.T. was a South Korean boy band that was created by SM Entertainment in 1996. They are considered to be the first K-pop idol group and their successful formula became the model for many K-pop groups that followed them. The group consisted of five members: Moon Hee-joon, Jang Woo-hyuk, Tony Ahn, Kangta, and Lee Jae-won.
NRG, acronym for New Radiancy Group, was a South Korean pop music group. Originally a five-member boy band consisting of Chun Myung-hoon, Lee Sung-jin, Noh Yoo-min, Moon Sung-hoon, and Kim Hwan-sung, NRG debuted in 1997 and underwent sporadic periods of activity and hiatus between 2000 and 2008 before going on an extended hiatus.
