Kim Gun-mo (Korean : 김건모; born January 13, 1968) [1] is a South Korean singer-songwriter who is considered the country's most successful musical artist of the 1990s. [2] His 1995 album, Wrongful Meeting, previously held the Guinness World Record for the best-selling album of all time in South Korea. [3] [4] Since his debut in 1992, Kim has released 13 full-length albums [5] and has won numerous awards, including Album of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards for three consecutive years from 1994 to 1996. [6] In 2011, he received a presidential commendation from the South Korean government for his contributions to popular culture. [7]
Kim was born on January 13, 1968, in Busan, South Korea. [1] He was interested in music from a young age and started playing the piano when he was four years old. [8] He attended elementary, middle, and high school in Seoul [1] and graduated from Seoul Institute of the Arts. [9] He served in the South Korean Navy in the late 1980s. [10]

Kim debuted with Kim Gun Mo 1 in 1992, which was followed by his second album Excuse in 1993. His third album Mis-Encounter came out in 1995. In the following year, he released Exchange. As one of the most popular Korean entertainers, Kim holds the record for biggest selling album in Korea with his third studio album, which sold over 3.3 million copies. Kim's albums rank consistently high on Korean music charts; his 8th album, Hestory, was the best-selling album of 2003. His most famous songs include "Excuse", "Mis-Encounter", and "Jjangga". In 2004, he released his 9th album Kim Gun Mo 9 which is reminiscent of his first album. This album was his second restarting point in his music career. In the following year, he came up with Be Like... which was also a huge success in Korea. His most recent work was released in 2008, entitled, Soul Groove .
Kim married pianist Jang Ji-yeon in 2019, whom he met through a mutual friend. [11] [12] They later divorced in 2022. [13]
On December 8, 2019, lawyer Kang Yong-suk announced that he was representing a woman who alleged that Kim sexually assaulted her. Kim denied the allegation and stated that he would take legal action against Kang. [14] [15] In 2022, the Seoul High Prosecutors' Office dismissed the rape charge against Kim. [16]

Kang Chang-mo, better known by his stage name KCM (Korean: 케이씨엠), is a South Korean singer. He debuted in 2003 with the song "I Know", from the soundtrack to the Korean drama, Punch (때려).
Jo Sung-mo is a South Korean pop ballad singer. He debuted in 1998 with the album To Heaven, and went on to release several of the all-time best-selling albums in South Korea.

Lee Ji-eun, also known by her stage name IU (아이유), is a South Korean singer-songwriter and actress. She signed with LOEN Entertainment in 2007 as a trainee and debuted as a singer at the age of fifteen with Lost and Found (2008), her first EP. Although her follow-up albums in 2009, Growing Up and IU...IM, brought mainstream success, it was only after the release of "Good Day", the lead single from her 2010 album Real, that she achieved national stardom. Jung made her acting debut in the critically acclaimed hit coming-of-age television series Reply 1997 in 2012. She has since had roles in That Winter, the Wind Blows (2013), Lovers of Music (2014), Cheer Up! Sam Kim is an American singer-songwriter, producer, and guitarist based in South Korea. He signed to Antenna Music after finishing as the runner-up on the talent show K-pop Star 3 in 2014. He made his official debut on April 10, 2016, with the EP I Am Sam, following it with the studio album Sun and Moon on November 22, 2018.
Jung Seung-hwan is a South Korean singer signed under Antenna. He is best known as the runner-up contestant in SBS' K-pop Star Season 4. Wings is the second Korean and fourth overall studio album by South Korean boy band BTS. The album was released on October 10, 2016, by Big Hit Entertainment. It is available in four versions and contains fifteen tracks, with "Blood Sweat & Tears" serving as its lead single. Heavily influenced by Hermann Hesse's coming of age novel, Demian, the concept album thematically deals with temptation and growth. It was later reissued as a repackage album, titled You Never Walk Alone, on February 13, 2017, a continuation of the canon for Wings. Three new songs were added to the track listing, with "Spring Day" and "Not Today" promoted as the lead singles.

Map of the Soul: Persona is the sixth extended play by South Korean boy band BTS. It was released on April 12, 2019, via Big Hit Entertainment with "Boy with Luv" as its lead single. It is the follow-up to their 2018 albums Love Yourself: Tear and Love Yourself: Answer, and preceded the band's Love Yourself: Speak Yourself world tour. American singer Lauv appeared on a version of the track "Make It Right" that was released on October 18, 2019, as the album's second single.
