In the United Kingdom, Last of the Summer Wine was released by Universal Playback, a subsidiary of Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Each set contains two series; an error occurred for the release of the set labelled as the ninth and tenth series, which consists only of the complete ninth series and Christmas specials; this was due to the fact that, originally, when a ninth and tenth series had been commissioned by the BBC, they decided to scrap the-then tenth series and just extended the ninth series. [31] [32] The issue persisted until the entire series was released, with the final set being labelled as the thirty-first and thirty-second series, when in fact, there are only thirty-one series. In Australia, the series is was available via ABC DVD and Roadshow Entertainment, and apart from the first and second series, which were released individually, the sets were also made available with two series.
