The series premiered on ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida evening block and worldwide on The Filipino Channel on April 18, 2016 to July 15, 2016, replacing My Love Donna on April 8, 2016 and Game ng Bayan on April 15, 2016. Darna is an upcoming Philippine superhero television series directed by Chito S. Roño. It is based on the comic book character of the same name created by Mars Ravelo. Jane De Leon star as Narda Custodio / Darna. The series was announced on December 4, 2020, after the indefinite suspension of Star Cinema's Darna movie project in August 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines. This is considered to be the biggest project of ABS-CBN for 2022.
