List of Northwestern State Demons football seasons

This is a list of seasons completed by the Northwestern State Demons football team of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Northwestern State's first football team was fielded in 1907.

Northwestern State originally competed as a football independent, before going on to compete in the Louisiana Intercollegiate Athletic Association, Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Association, Louisiana Intercollegiate Conference, Gulf States Conference, Gulf South Conference, and Gulf Star Conference. Since 1987, Northwestern State has been a member of the I-AA's Southland Conference.

The Xavier Gold Rush and Gold Nuggets are the athletic teams that represent Xavier University of Louisiana, located in New Orleans, Louisiana, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA), primarily competing in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) since the 2021–22 academic year. The 2022 HBCU Legacy Bowl was a post-season college football all-star game played on February 19, 2022, at Yulman Stadium in New Orleans, Louisiana. It was the inaugural edition of the HBCU Legacy Bowl, whose founding was announced by the Black College Football Hall of Fame on March 18, 2021. The game was the last of the all-star games that concluded the 2021–22 bowl games. Television coverage was provided by NFL Network.
