The American animated television miniseries Over the Garden Wall features a cast of fictional characters created by Patrick McHale. The series revolves around two half-brothers: Wirt (voiced by Elijah Wood), the awkward and pessimistic older brother, and Gregory (voiced by Collin Dean), the energetic and optimistic younger brother. The duo travel through a strange forest, searching for the way back to their home and encountering wondrous things along their journey. On their quest, Wirt and Greg interact with characters such as a bluebird named Beatrice (voiced by Melanie Lynskey), the Woodsman (voiced by Christopher Lloyd), and the Beast (voiced by Samuel Ramey).

Cloud City residents

In the eighth episode of the miniseries, Greg has a dream when asleep with Wirt under a tree, dreaming of himself in a fictional location called Cloud City. The city has various committees, including the Cloud City Reception Committee (voiced by Judah Nelson); the Cloud City Auxiliary Reception Committee; a trio of animals known as Hippopotamus, Giraffe, and Monkey; and an unpleasant-looking dog with a rain cloud over its head known as the Fourth Reception Committee. The city is filled with angels and various cartoon animals, including elephants, dogs, and rabbits.

The Queen of the Clouds (voiced by Deborah Voigt) is the ruler of Cloud City, opposed by the havoc-stirring North Wind (voiced by Mark Bodnar). [12] [13]

Over the Garden Wall is an American animated television miniseries created by Patrick McHale for Cartoon Network. The series centers on two half-brothers who travel across a mysterious forest to find their way home, encountering a variety of strange and fantastical things on their journey. The show is based on McHale's animated short film Tome of the Unknown, which was produced as part of Cartoon Network Studios' shorts development program. Elijah Wood and Collin Dean voice the protagonists Wirt and Greg, and Melanie Lynskey voices Beatrice, a bluebird. The series' voice cast also includes Christopher Lloyd, Tim Curry, Bebe Neuwirth, Chris Isaak, Shirley Jones, Thomas Lennon, Jack Jones, Jerron Paxton, John Cleese and Samuel Ramey. In the film—which is narrated by Warren Burton—Wirt, his brother Gregory, and Beatrice, a bluebird, head to the big city in search of an arcane book of all known things, meeting a vegetable man along the way.

"The Unknown" is the final episode of the American animated television miniseries Over the Garden Wall. It first aired on Cartoon Network on November 7, 2014. The episode's story was supervised by Amalia Levari, Tom Herpich, and series creator Patrick McHale, while writing and storyboarding were managed by Herpich, Jim Campbell, and Natasha Allegri.

Over the Garden Wall (Original Television Soundtrack) is the soundtrack to the 2014 animated television miniseries of the same name for Cartoon Network created by Patrick McHale. Two years after the series' premiere, the music from the series were released into a separate soundtrack album on July 21, 2016 by Turner Music Publishing and Cartoon Network, distributed in a vinyl LP by Mondo at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con. It featured 32 tracks from the series' with vocal performances and instrumental tunes composed by The Blasting Company.
