The 1985 NFL season was the 66th regular season of the National Football League. The season ended with Super Bowl XX when the Chicago Bears defeated the New England Patriots 46–10 at the Louisiana Superdome. The Bears became the second team in NFL history to win 15 games in the regular season and 18 including the playoffs.
The Baylor Bears baseball team represents Baylor University in NCAA Division I college baseball. The team belongs to the Big 12 Conference and plays home games at Baylor Ballpark. The Bears are currently led by head coach Mitch Thompson, who was hired in 2022.

This was the head coach Marty Wilson's first full season at Pepperdine, though he was the team's interim head coach in the 1990s for half of a season. Lamar "Marty" Wilson is an American college basketball coach, currently an assistant coach at UC Berkeley. Wilson previously served as head coach at his alma mater Pepperdine University.
The 2012–13 Pepperdine Waves women's basketball team represented Pepperdine University in the 2012–13 college basketball season. The Waves, members of the West Coast Conference, were led by head coach Julie Rousseau, in her 9th and final season at the school. The Waves played their home games at the Firestone Fieldhouse on the university campus in Malibu, California. They finished the season 5-23, 2–14 in conference, and were 9th place in the conference standings. They lost in the first round of the WCC Tournament to conclude their season and the coaching career of Rousseau at Pepperdine. Rousseau would resign on April 3, 2013, after compiling a 123–144 record at Pepperdine with 3 NCAA Tournament appearances.

They advanced to the quarterfinals of the WCC tournament where they lost to Gonzaga. They were invited to the College Basketball Invitational where they lost in the first round to Seattle.

They finished the season with an overall record of 2–7 and a mark of 0–4 in conference play, placing last out of five teams in the CCAA.

They finished the season 6–26, 2–16 in WCC play to finish in last place. They defeated Santa Clara in the first round of the WCC tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to Saint Mary's.

The Waves were led by head coach Lorenzo Romar, in the first season of his second stint after coaching the Waves from 1996 to 1999. They played their home games at the Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu, California as members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 16–18, 8–10 in WCC play to finish in eighth place. They defeated Pacific, Loyola Marymount, and San Francisco to advance to the semifinals of the WCC tournament were they were defeated by Gonzaga.
The 2018–19 West Coast Conference men's basketball season began with practices in September 2018 and will end with the 2019 West Coast Conference men's basketball tournament March 2019. This is the 68th season for WCC men's basketball, and the 30th under its current name of "West Coast Conference". The conference was founded in 1952 as the California Basketball Association, became the West Coast Athletic Conference in 1956, and dropped the word "Athletic" in 1989.
The 1990–91 Pepperdine Waves men's basketball team represented Pepperdine University in the 1990–91 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by head coach Tom Asbury. The Waves played their home games at the Firestone Fieldhouse and were members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 22–9, 13–1 in WCC play to win the regular season conference title by a 4-game margin. After a January 11 home loss to San Diego in the conference opener, Pepperdine was just 6–8 overall. The Waves then went on a 16-game winning streak and won the West Coast Conference tournament to receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. In the opening round, the Waves fell to Seton Hall, 71–51.
The 1991–92 Pepperdine Waves men's basketball team represented Pepperdine University in the 1991–92 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by head coach Tom Asbury. The Waves played their home games at the Firestone Fieldhouse and were members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 24–7, 14–0 in WCC play to win the regular season conference title by a 5-game margin. After completing an unbeaten record in the conference regular season, Pepperdine ran their conference winning streak to 27 consecutive games and won the West Coast Conference tournament to receive the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament for the second straight season. In the opening round, the Waves fell to Memphis State, 80–70.
The 1999–2000 Pepperdine Waves men's basketball team represented Pepperdine University in the 1999–2000 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by first-year head coach Jan van Breda Kolff. The Waves played their home games at the Firestone Fieldhouse and were members of the West Coast Conference. They finished the season 25–9, 12–2 in WCC play to win the regular season conference title. Pepperdine lost in the championship game of the West Coast Conference tournament, but did receive an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament as No. 11 seed in the East region. In the opening round, the Waves surprised No. 6 seed Indiana – in what would be head coach Bobby Knight’s final game at the school – before falling to Oklahoma State in the second round, 75–67.
The 1984–85 Pepperdine Waves men's basketball team represented Pepperdine University in the 1984–85 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The team was led by head coach Jim Harrick. The Waves played their home games at the Firestone Fieldhouse and were members of the West Coast Athletic Conference. They finished the season 23–9, 11–1 in WCAC play to win the regular season conference title by a 2-game margin to receive an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. In the opening round, the Waves fell to Duke, 75–62.
