The Taichung Suns were a Taiwanese professional basketball team based in Taichung City, Taiwan. The team was formerly known as the Taichung Wagor Suns from 2021 to 2022. The team was with Wang Wei-Chieh as the general manager. The Suns were founded in 2021 and won 0 T1 League championship. [1] On October 16, 2023, the Suns announced to fold officially. [2]

The 2021–22 T1 League regular season was the first regular season of T1 League. Each team played against another six times, three at home and three on the road, respectively, led to 30 matches in total. The regular season started on November 27, 2021 and ended on May 20, 2022. The 2021–22 season opening game, matched by the Kaohsiung Aquas and the TaiwanBeer HeroBears, was played at University of Taipei Tianmu Campus Gymnasium.

The 2021–22 T1 League season was the first season of the T1 League, with the Kaohsiung Aquas, the New Taipei CTBC DEA, the Taichung Wagor Suns, the Tainan TSG GhostHawks, the TaiwanBeer HeroBears, and the Taoyuan Leopards participating in this competition. The regular season started on November 27, 2021 and ended on May 20, 2022. The play-in series was played on May 22. The semifinals series started on May 24 and ended on May 28. The finals series started on May 31 and ended on June 4. On June 4, the Kaohsiung Aquas defeated the Taichung Wagor Suns, 3–0, winning the 2021–22 season championship.

The 2022 T1 League Finals was the championship series of the T1 League's 2021–22 season and conclusion of the season's playoffs. The best-of-seven final series was played by the winners of the semifinals series. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Taiwan, the finals series changed to best-of-five series. The finals series started on May 31 and ended on June 4. The series was matched by Kaohsiung Aquas and Taichung Wagor Suns. On June 4, the Kaohsiung Aquas defeated the Taichung Wagor Suns, 3–0, winning the 2021–22 season championship. Hu Long-Mao of the Kaohsiung Aquas was named the Finals MVP.

The 2022–23 Taichung Suns season was the franchise's 2nd season in the T1 League. The Suns were with Wang Wei-Chieh as their general manager. On July 1, 2022, the Taoyuan Pilots hired Iurgi Caminos, the head coach of the Taichung Wagor Suns, as their new head coach. On September 18, the Suns promoted Alberto Garcia, the assistant coach of the Taichung Wagor Suns, as their new head coach. On October 25, the Suns named Chris Gavina as their new head coach.

The 2022–23 Kaohsiung Aquas season was the franchise's 2nd season in the T1 League. The Aquas were coached by Brendan Joyce in his second year as head coach, with Wang De-Yao as their general manager.

The 2022–23 TaiwanBeer HeroBears season was the franchise's 2nd season in the T1 League. The HeroBears were coached by Yang Chih-Hao in his second year as head coach, with Ha Hsiao-Yuan as their general manager.

The regular season started on October 29, 2022 and ended on April 23, 2023. The All-Star Game was played on February 28. The play-in series started on April 25 and ended on April 27. The semifinals series started on April 28 and ended on May 8. The finals series started on May 13 and ended on May 21. On May 21, the New Taipei CTBC DEA defeated the Tainan TSG GhostHawks, 4–0, winning the 2022–23 season championship.

The regular season started on October 28, 2023 and ended on April 28, 2024. The semifinals series started on May 4 and ended on May 14. The finals series starts on May 24 and is scheduled to end on June 7.

The 2023–24 Taipei Taishin Mars season is the franchise's 1st season in the T1 League. The Mars are coached by Brian Adams in his first year as head coach, with Lin You-Ting as their general manager. On December 31, the Mars announced that Brian Adams resigned from head coach. On January 3, 2024, the Mars named Hsu Hao-Cheng, the assistant coach of the Taipei Taishin Mars, as their interim head coach.

The 2023–24 Taichung Suns season was the franchise's 3rd season in the T1 League. The Suns were with Wang Wei-Chieh as their general manager. On June 29, 2023, the Suns announced that Chris Gavina left the team. On July 1, the Suns named Anthony Tucker as their new head coach. On September 15, the T1 League announced that the 2023–24 season participation rights of the Taichung Suns was cancelled due to financial qualification. On October 13, the news reported that Anthony Tucker left the team. On October 16, the Suns announced to fold officially.
