Black Eyed Peas is an American musical group, consisting of rappers will.i.am, apl.de.ap, Taboo and J. Rey Soul. Originally an alternative hip hop group, they subsequently refashioned themselves as a more marketable pop-rap act. Although the group was founded in Los Angeles in 1995, it was not until the release of their third album, Elephunk, in 2003, that they achieved high record sales.
The Digital Songs or Digital Song Sales chart ranks the best-selling digital songs in the United States, as compiled by Nielsen SoundScan and published by Billboard magazine. Although it originally started tracking song sales the week of October 30, 2004, it officially debuted in the issue dated January 22, 2005, and merged all versions of a song sold from digital music distributors. Its data was incorporated in the Hot 100 three weeks later. Since October 2004, digital sales have been incorporated into many of Billboard's music singles charts. The decision was based on the dramatic increase of the digital market while commercial single sales in a physical format were becoming negligible.
"Pump It" is a 2006 song by The Black Eyed Peas. It was released as the fourth and final single from The Black Eyed Peas' 2005 album Monkey Business. This song was also remixed for the deluxe edition of the group's fifth studio album The E.N.D. as "Pump It Harder". "Pump It" heavily incorporates music from Dick Dale's 1962 surf version of "Misirlou".
"Shut Up" is a song by the American group the Black Eyed Peas. The song was released as the second single from their studio album, Elephunk (2003). It is about a disastrous courtship with the chorus consisting of the lines "Shut up, just shut up, shut up".
The E.N.D. is the fifth studio album by American group Black Eyed Peas, released on June 3, 2009. Critics described the album as containing more anthemic and inspirational songs in the group's bid to appeal to a new generation of music listeners.
This is a summary of the year 2009 in British music. 31 singles have occupied the number-one spot including 15 new entries. Due to the increase in downloads over physical sales, singles now tend to enter the chart at a lower position, before climbing to the top a few weeks later: a trend which was previously rarely seen in the later half of the 1990s and most of the 2000s.
"Boom Boom Pow" is a song recorded by American hip hop group The Black Eyed Peas released as the lead single from their fifth studio album, The E.N.D.
"I Gotta Feeling" is the second single from The Black Eyed Peas' fifth album The E.N.D., produced by French DJ David Guetta. The song was released on May 21, 2009, and debuted at number two on the Canadian and Billboard Hot 100, behind the group's previous single "Boom Boom Pow", making the group one of 11 artists who have occupied the top two positions of the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time. It reached number one on the US charts and 20 charts worldwide.
"Imma Be" is a song performed by the American hip hop group the Black Eyed Peas taken from their fifth studio album The E.N.D. The song's title is a slang expression, meaning "I am going to be" or "I will be" [something or some activity]. Initially released as a promotional single, the song went on to receive a full release as the fourth single in the United States and Canada from the album, the fifth overall, and is the third single from the album to reach number-one on the Billboard Hot 100.
"Meet Me Halfway" is the third single from the Black Eyed Peas' fifth studio album The E.N.D. The song peaked at number seven on the Billboard Hot 100. Outside of the United States, "Meet Me Halfway" topped the charts in Australia, Germany, Romania, Mexico and the United Kingdom. In the latter country, "Meet Me Halfway" became the tenth biggest-selling single of 2009. It is a dance-pop song that combines futuristic electro hop beats with vintage '80s pop stylings in the key of B Minor. The Song Also Contains A Sample Of The Yeah Yeah Yeah's Song Maps Sampling The Guitar In The Intro
"The Time " is a song by American musical group the Black Eyed Peas from their sixth studio album, The Beginning. The song peaked at number four on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, becoming the group's sixth consecutive top ten hit, and ninth overall. It topped the charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Spain, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom, while also charting inside the top ten of the charts in most European countries. As of February 2019, the song's accompanying music video has received over 480 million views on YouTube, becoming the group's most viewed video. Worldwide, it was the eighth best selling digital single of 2011 with sales of 7.3 million copies.
