Prior to this, she worked as a professor at UPR, Río Piedras, and in the field of Mitigation at FEMA. She has also served as chief meteorologist at Univision PR and WIPR-TV.

Guy Jacob Swope was an American teacher, accountant, and Democratic politician. His career included one term as a representative in the 77th United States Congress, serving as a director in the United States Department of Interior under Franklin D. He also served in the United States Naval Reserve, Military Government Branch, where he attained the rank of Commander.

Georgia's 6th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Georgia. As of 2023, it is represented by Republican Rich McCormick. Previously represented by Democrat Lucy McBath, the district's boundaries were redrawn following the 2020 census to be significantly more Republican-leaning than it had been in the previous decade. As a result, McBath announced that she would be running against Carolyn Bourdeaux in the Democratic primary in the neighboring 7th congressional district, which she subsequently won. Rich McCormick defeated Democrat Bob Christian for the seat in the 2022 congressional elections, took office on January 3, 2023.

Jenniffer Aydin González Colón is a Puerto Rican politician who serves as the 20th Resident Commissioner of Puerto Rico. González has served in leadership positions in the New Progressive Party of Puerto Rico (PNP) and in the Republican Party of the United States. These positions included being the chairwoman of the Puerto Rico Republican Party, speaker and minority leader of the House of Representatives of Puerto Rico, and vice-chair of the PNP. González is the youngest person to be Resident Commissioner and the first woman to hold the role.
