Iron Man Tournaments (1989)

The Iron Man and Iron Team tournaments were round-robin tournaments featuring four competing individuals and tag teams respectively. The point system: 20 points for a pinfall or submission victory, 15 for a countout victory, 10 for a disqualification victory, 5 for a time-limit draw and 0 for a loss. [5]

Brian Pillman defeated Tim Horner and Buddy Landel, before losing to Dan Spivey.

Scott Steiner defeated Bobby Eaton, Ric Flair, and Arn Anderson to run the gauntlet.

Bobby Eaton defeated Tracey Smothers and Ricky Morton, before losing to Sid Eudy.

Steve Armstrong defeated Stan Lane, but lost to his second opponent Buddy Landel. Had Armstrong defeated Landel, he would've wrestled Bobby Eaton.

Rick Steiner defeated Moondog Rex, Sid Vicious and Ric Flair to run the gauntlet.

Ric Flair defeated Buddy Landel, but lost to his second opponent Ron Simmons. Had Flair defeated Simmons, he would've wrestled The Nightstalker.

Barry Clinton Windham is an American retired professional wrestler. The son of wrestler Blackjack Mulligan, he is best known for his appearances with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) and World Championship Wrestling (WCW).

David Richard Fliehr, better known by the ring name David Flair, is an American retired professional wrestler. He is best known for his appearances in World Championship Wrestling (WCW), where he held the WCW United States Championship and WCW World Tag Team Championship. He is the son of professional wrestler Ric Flair, and the half-brother of professional wrestlers Charlotte Flair and Reid Flair.

Christopher Ford is an American professional wrestler, best known for his tenure in World Championship Wrestling under the ring name Crowbar, where he was a one time Hardcore Champion, a one time World Tag Team Champion with David Flair and a one time Cruiserweight Champion, which he held jointly with Daffney. He,Jerry Lynn and Christopher Daniels are the only wrestlers in history to have wrestled for World Wrestling Federation, World Championship Wrestling, Extreme Championship Wrestling, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, Ring Of Honor and All Elite Wrestling. He currently performs on the independent circuit either as The Timeless One, Crowbar or Devon Storm.

William Fritz Ensor was an American professional wrestler better known by the ring name "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel. He was best known for his work in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) territories.

Bruce Franklin Reed was an American professional wrestler and football player, better known by the ring name Butch Reed. He played college football at the University of Central Missouri, was a star in Mid-South Wrestling and had high-profile tag team matches in the World Wrestling Federation and World Championship Wrestling.

Clash of the Champions is an American series of professional wrestling television specials that were produced by World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) in conjunction with the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA). The specials were supercards comprising pay-per-view caliber matches, similar to the World Wrestling Federation's Saturday Night's Main Event series. The Clash of the Champions shows were famous for typically not airing commercials during matches even though many of these matches lasted 20 minutes or more.
