  • Loa (Alani Ryan) - Can disintegrate matter by phasing through it. She also enrolled at the Avengers Academy. Current resident of Krakoa.
  • Network (Sarah Vale) - Preview's sister, who has the ability to communicate with machinery. She was depowered during "M-Day" and killed on the bus ambushed by the Purifiers along with several other depowered mutants but resurrected on Krakoa.. [6]

  • Bling! (Roxanne "Roxy" Washington) - Her skin produces diamond shards. Current resident f Krakoa.
  • Flubber (Nick Shelley) - His body is made of a rubbery substance. This grants him great strength and the ability to leap great distances. He is depowered during "M-Day". Possibly killed on a bus when it exploded but resurrected on Krakoa.
  • Onyxx (Sydney Green) - His body is made of a rock-like substance. He has super strength and is difficult to injure. He is killed by Wither during Selene's attack on Utopia but resurrected in Krakoa.
  • Rain Boy (Carl Aalston) - His body is living water that is held together by a containment suit. Depowered as a result of M-Day. Killed on a bus when it exploded but resurrected on Krakoa. Current member of Lost Club.
  • Foxx - Revealed to be Mystique in disguise to seduce Gambit. Has the ability to shapeshift. She uses the alias of Foxx to infiltrate the X-Men, claiming later that she was testing Gambit's commitment to Rogue. She becomes an instructor at the Hellfire Academy and the leader of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants.

Corsairs

Mentored by Cyclops.

  • Dryad (Callie Betto) - Can communicate with and control plant life. She is depowered during "M-Day" and killed on the bus ambushed by the Purifiers along with several other depowered mutants but resurrected on Krakoa. [6]
  • Quill (Max Jordan) - His body is covered with quills, which he can fire as projectiles. He is shot and killed by one of Stryker's Purifiers when the mansion is attacked but resurrected on Krakoa. [7]
  • Specter (Dallas Gibson) - Can merge his body with his shadow, granting him superhuman strength, speed and durability. He can see in complete darkness and is immune to all Darkforce attacks. He is depowered as a result of "M-Day". Repowered and current resident of Krakoa.
  • Three-In-One / Stepford Cuckoos - Able to combine their telepathic abilities and they possess the ability to transform into an organic diamond form. They joined the Extinction Team as students of the New Charles Xavier School for Mutants. Current resident of Krakoa, working with the Hellfire Trading Company

  • Hellion (Julian Keller) - A mutant with the power of telekinesis. Current resident of Krakoa.
  • Icarus (Joshua "Jay" Guthrie) - Member of the Hellions for a short time before switching to the New Mutants. [8]
  • Mercury (Cessily Kincaid) - A shapeshifter whose body is composed of non-toxic liquid mercury. Current resident of Krakoa.
  • Rockslide (Santo Vaccaro) - Able to manifest a physical body made of solid rock from the immediate environment and launch limbs at great velocity.
  • Specter (Dallas Gibson) - Member for a brief time before being reassigned to the Corsairs squad. [9]
  • Tag (Brian Cruz) - Can psionically "tag" a person so that bystanders are compelled to run away from or toward that person. He is killed on the bus ambushed by the Purifiers along with several other depowered mutants but resurrected on Krakoa. [6]
  • Wither (Kevin Ford) - Can destroy organic matter with a touch. He is romantic rivals with Elixir for Wallflower. When Wallflower dies, Wither flees the school and becomes Selene's second-in-command. He is killed by Elixir during the final battle of the "Necrosha" storyline but resurrected on Krakoa. [10]

Paladins

Mentored by Shadowcat.

  • Armor (Hisako Ichiki) - A mutant from Japan, who has the ability to create a psionic exoskeleton. Current member of S.W.O.R.D. on Krakoa and Arrako.
  • Blindfold (Ruth Aldine) - Possess telepathy, the ability to see the future as well as the past, and clairvoyance. Current member of Legionaries on Krakoa.
  • Wing (Edward Tancredi) - Powers neutralized by Ord; apparently committed suicide afterward in the Danger Room.

Paragons

Originally mentored by Wolfsbane; she left after it was revealed that she had been romantically involved with a student. Karma became temporary mentor before being replaced by Magma.

  • DJ (Mark Sheppard) - Changes music into energy blasts, blinding lights, flight or a force field. The style of music determines the ability. He is depowered during "M-Day" and killed on the bus ambushed by the Purifiers along with several other depowered mutants but resurrected on Krakoa. [6]
  • Match (Benjamin "Ben" Hammil) - Has the ability to create and control fire. A mutant, Hamill attended the Xavier Institute before its closing. While at the institute, Hamill was the field leader of the Paragons training squad. Current resident of Krakoa. Match appeared in Dark Phoenix portrayed by Lamar Johnson. The character, created by Nunzio DeFilippis and Christina Weir, first appeared in New Mutants Vol. 2 #7. DeFilippis revealed that while he and Weir created the character, he was based on a background mutant from New X-Men: Academy X, #7. "We saw a cool bit of artwork in the background of a panel (I think it was Carlo Barberi who first drew him) and thought for a few seconds about a name, codename, and power set." [11]
  • Pixie (Megan Gwynn) - A hybrid mutant and fairy. She can fly and her wings create a hallucinogenic dust. She also has magical powers. Current member of Legionaries on Krakoa.
  • Preview (Jessica Vale) - Has the ability to see minutes into the future. She is depowered during "M-Day" but resurrected on Krakoa. She is Network's sister.
  • Trance (Hope Abbott) - Has the ability to create an astral projection of herself. This form is capable of flight and producing energy blasts. She joins the X-Men and is a student at the Jean Grey School for Higher Learning. Current resident of Krakoa.
  • Wolf Cub (Nicholas "Nick" Gleason) - Gleason is in a permanent lycanthropic state. He possesses enhanced strength, senses, speed, agility and endurance. He also has razor-sharp claws. He is killed by Donald Pierce but resurrected on Krakoa. [12]

New Mutants Training Squad

  • Elixir (Josh Foley) - An Omega-class healer who is a rabid mutant-hater until he finds out he is one himself. Following the events of "M-Day" and Reverend Stryker slaughtering many of his friends and his lover Wallflower, Elixir's powers morph so that he can now kill as well as heal with a touch of his hand. current member of the Five on Krakoa.
  • Icarus (Joshua "Jay" Guthrie) - Able to fly, sing hypnotically, and heal himself rapidly. Jay's wings are amputated in issue #20 and he is killed in issue #26 by Reverend Stryker but resurrected on Krakoa.
  • Prodigy (David Alleyne) - Takes on the knowledge and skills of nearby people. After being depowered, he regained the knowledge talents originally acquired before "M-Day". Later murdered but resurrected on Krakoa, serving with X-Factor. [13]
  • Surge (Noriko Ashida) - A Japanese immigrant who constantly absorbs static electricity and can discharge it as electric blasts or bursts of superhuman speed. Current resident of Krakoa.
  • Wallflower (Laurie Collins) - Exudes pheromones that alter the feelings of other people. She is killed in issue #25 by the Purifiers but resurrected on Krakoa.
  • Wind Dancer (Sofia Mantega) - A girl from Venezuela who can control air particles, allowing her to fly and hear distant conversations. Wind Dancer loses her powers as a result of "M-Day". Following her de-powering, she joined a short-lived incarnation of the New Warriors. Later killed in Mojoverse but resurrected on Krakoa, serving X-Corp. [14]
  • Wither (Kevin Ford) - Member of the New Mutants for a short time before switching to the Hellions. [8]

  • Jeffrey Garrett - Killed during the destruction of the Xavier Institute but remained as a ghost due to secondary mutation. Depowered and vanished as a result of M-Day.

Xorn is the alias of two fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. He first appeared in New X-Men Annual 2001, he was created by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely. He is a mutant who has a miniature star residing in his head, that gives him the abilities of gravitational electromagnetism, self-sustenance, and healing. He is most commonly associated with the X-Men and Brotherhood of Mutants. Initially in the pages of New X-Men, he was revealed to be Magneto in disguise. However, Excalibur established him as a separate character named Kuan-Yin Xorn and his brother Shen Zorn.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Excalibur (comics)</span> Marvel Comics superhero group

Excalibur is a fictional superhero group appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. They are depicted as an offshoot of the X-Men, usually based in the United Kingdom. Conceived by writer Chris Claremont and artist/co-writer Alan Davis, they first appeared in Excalibur Special Edition #1 (1987), also known as Excalibur: The Sword is Drawn. Stories involving this team have featured elements of both the X-Men and Captain Britain franchises, frequently involving cross-dimensional travel.

Morlocks are a group of mutant characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The characters are usually depicted as being associated with the X-Men in the Marvel Universe. Created by writer Chris Claremont and artist Paul Smith, they were named after the subterranean race of the same name in H. G. Wells' novel The Time Machine, but unlike in the Wells book, they are not a faceless, threatening mass of villains. They first appeared as a group in The Uncanny X-Men #169. Caliban appeared prior to that, but he was not yet a member of the Morlocks.

Several fictional groups of mutants have used the name Hellions in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The Hellions have always been portrayed as rivals of various teams of younger mutant heroes in the X-Men franchise, initially as actual villains and later on a team that was more of a school rival than actual enemies of the X-Men.

After M-Day, he was one of only 28 students to retain his powers. He is best friends with Julian Keller (Hellion) and is extremely close to and protective of Cessily Kincaid (Mercury). Despite his earlier appearances as a stereotypical bully, he has evolved into a good-natured and fiercely protective friend to most of the school's students.

The mansion is depicted as the private estate of Charles Francis Xavier, a character in X-Men comics. It serves as the base of operations and training site of the X-Men. It is also the location of an accredited private school for mutant children, teenagers, and sometimes older aged mutants, the Xavier Institute for Higher Learning, formerly the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters. The X-Mansion is also the worldwide headquarters of the X-Corporation.

<i>Decimation</i> (comics) Marvel Comics storyline event

"Decimation" is a storyline published by Marvel Comics in 2005, spinning out of the events of the House of M limited series. The event started with a one-shot issue and took place in a number of various series all carrying the "Decimation" logo on the cover. The 2005 miniseries Generation M, Sentinel Squad O*N*E, X-Men: Deadly Genesis and X-Men: The 198 were all launched specifically for the "Decimation" storyline. The various stories were collected in five trade paper backs.

X-Men: Deadly Genesis is a comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics from 2006. The series was written by Ed Brubaker with interior art done by Trevor Hairsine and covers by Marc Silvestri. Starring the X-Men, this series celebrates the 30th anniversary of Giant-Size X-Men #1. The plot deals with the X-Men looking for Professor Charles Xavier, who went missing after House of M, as well as their conflict with a new and incredibly powerful mutant.

The Horsemen of Apocalypse are a team of supervillain characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Led by Apocalypse, they are loosely based on the Biblical Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse from the Book of Revelation, though its members vary throughout the canon.

"Sins of Sinister" is a 2023 comic book crossover storyline published in the X-Men franchise of books by Marvel Comics. The event involves a dark future brought about by Mister Sinister's corrupt machinations and his experiment in creating a batch of Mutants called Chimeras.
