Mouloudia Club of Oran, known as Mouloudia of Oran, commonly referred to as MC Oran for short, is an Algerian professional football club based in Oran. Founded on 1 January 1917 and formed again on 14 May 1946, the club was known as Mouloudia Chaâbia Ouahrania from 1971 to 1977, Mouloudia Pétroliers d'Oran from 1977 to 1987 and Mouloudia d'Oran from 1987 to 1989. The club colours are red and white. Their home stadium, Ahmed Zabana Stadium, has a capacity of 40,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

Entente Sportive Sétifienne, known as Entente de Sétif, commonly referred to as ES Sétif or ESS for short, is an Algerian professional football club based in Sétif. The club was founded in 1958 and its colours are black and white. Their home stadium, the 8 May 1945 Stadium, has a capacity of 18,000 spectators. The club is currently playing in the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">CS Mindelense</span> Football club in Cape Verde

Clube Sportivo Mindelense (Capeverdean Crioulo, ALUPEC or ALUPEK: KS Mindelensi, São Vicente Crioulo: KS Mindelense is a football club that plays in the Premier division of the Interisland League in Cape Verde. It is based in the city of Mindelo in the island of São Vicente. Mindelense is the oldest club in Cape Verde. It is the team won the most cups before and after independence especially in the 1950s and the 1970s with nine titles before independence and eleven after independence. Their first participation in the national division before independence was unofficially in 1938 and officially in 1954, Mindelense first appeared after independence in 1980. Since 30 April 2017, they are one of three unrelegated clubs in the island along with Batuque and Derby. Its current chairman is Daniel de Jesus. The club's nickname is Leões Encarnados or the Incarnated Lions. A nickname that is used less often is the Red Devils or the Diablos Vermelhos.

In many countries the term local derby, or simply just derby means a sporting fixture between two rivals, particularly in Association Football. In North America, crosstown rivalry is a more common term.

The 2008–09 Egyptian Premier League was the fifty-second season of the Egyptian Premier League since its establishment in 1948. The league is composed of sixteen teams. Al Ahly SC became the defending champions for the fourth year in a row and the thirty-third time in the league's history. This season began on 8 August 2008 and ended on 24 May 2009.

Amir Sayoud is an Algerian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Saudi Pro League club Al-Raed and the Algeria national team.

El Clásico is the name given to any football match between Real Madrid CF and FC Barcelona.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Abdelhak Benchikha</span> Algerian football manager

Abdelhak Benchikha is an Algerian football coach and former player. He is the current head coach of JS Kabylie.

In the 2012–13 season, USM Alger competed in the Ligue 1 for the 35th time, as well as the Algerian Cup. It was their 18th consecutive season in the top flight of Algerian football.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">ES Sétif in African football</span>

ES Sétif, an Algerian professional association football club, has gained entry to Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions on several occasions. They have represented Algeria in the Champions League on eleven occasions, the Confederation Cup on four occasions, the now-defunct Cup Winners' Cup two occasions.

In the 1970–71 season, USM Alger is competing in the Championnat National for the 5th season, as well as the Algerian Cup. They will be competing in Championnat National, and the Algerian Cup.

Espérance de Tunis, a Tunisian professional association football club, has gained entry to Confederation of African Football (CAF) competitions on several occasions. They have represented Tunisia in the Champions League on twenty four occasions, the Confederation Cup on one occasion, the now-defunct Cup Winners' Cup four separate occasions, and the now-defunct CAF Cup one occasion.

Abdessamed Bounacer is an Algerian professional footballer who plays for Al Sadd SC in the Qatar Stars League and the Algeria national under-23 football team.
