Association football Team field sport

Association football, more commonly known as football or soccer, is a team sport played with a spherical ball between two teams of eleven players. It is played by 250 million players in over 200 countries and dependencies, making it the world's most popular sport. The game is played on a rectangular field called a pitch with a goal at each end. The object of the game is to score by moving the ball beyond the goal line into the opposing goal.

Match of the Day  
an English-language television programme broadcast on the BBC since the 1960s. It originally showed the highlights from just one game from the top division each week, but nowadays it features highlights of all Saturday and midweek Premier League games.
On the Ball  
an English-language television programme broadcast on ITV. It ran intermittently from the 1980s until being discontinued in 2004.
When Saturday Comes  
an English monthly fanzine-style football magazine first published in 1986.
World Soccer (magazine)  
a monthly English language football magazine produced by IPC Media since 1950, offering a broad perspective on football news and events worldwide.

TVB Pearl television channel in Hong Kong

TVB Pearl is one of the two free television services in Hong Kong that mainly broadcast in the English language, the other being ATV World and later ViuTVsix. Match of the Day is the BBC's principal football programme. Typically, it is shown on BBC One on Saturday evenings during the English football season, showing highlights of the day's matches in English football's top division, the Premier League.

Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation television station

Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation, or CyBC, is Cyprus' public broadcasting service. It transmits island-wide on four radio and two domestic television channels, and uses one satellite channel for the Cypriot diaspora.

DW-TV television station

DW-TV is a set of television channels provided by Deutsche Welle. The channels concentrate on news and information and first started broadcasting 1 April 1992. They are broadcast on satellite and produced in Berlin. DW English broadcast service is aimed at the overseas market, similar to DD India, WION, BBC World News, France 24 and RT.

BVN television station

BVN, is a satellite and cable television channel providing Dutch and Flemish public-service television to viewers around the world.

ESPN Deportes TV channel owned by ESPN Inc.

ESPN Deportes is an American Spanish-language pay television sports channel that is owned by ESPN Inc., a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company and the Hearst Communications. The network is aimed primarily at the Hispanic community in the United States. The channel broadcasts from studio facilities at ESPN's traditional bases of operations in Los Angeles, Coral Gables, Florida, and Bristol, Connecticut, along with their Mexican base in Mexico City.

Football Focus is a BBC television magazine programme covering football, normally broadcast live on BBC One on Saturday lunchtimes during the football season. Since the 2009–10 season, Football Focus has been hosted by Dan Walker. The programme is broadcast from BBC Sport's headquarters and main studios in MediaCityUK in Salford, although some episodes are broadcast on location, from football grounds around the country. A version of the programme focusing on world football airs on BBC World News.

ITV Sport is a sport producer for ITV. It was formed following the merger between Granada Sport and Central Sport.

<i>Draugas</i> newspaper in Chicago, Illinois

Draugas is the only Lithuanian daily newspaper published abroad. Until 2011, the newspaper was published five days a week, except Sundays and Mondays. It is currently published three days a week, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. It is read not only in the United States, but in Canada, South America, Australia, and Europe as well.

Media of Wales

The media in Wales provide services in both English and Welsh, and play a role in modern Welsh culture. BBC Wales began broadcasting in 1923 have helped to promote a form of standardised spoken Welsh, and one historian has argued that the concept of Wales as a single national entity owes much to modern broadcasting. The national broadcasters are based in the capital, Cardiff.

S4C Chwaraeon from S4C, Welsh: Sianel 4 Cymru Chwaraeon(English: Channel 4 Wales Sport), has the rights to many sporting events, which it covers in the Welsh language.

The Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a governmental agency, is the official state news provider of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

BBC Alba Gaelic-language television channel in Scotland

BBC ALBA is a British Scottish Gaelic-language free-to-air television channel jointly owned by the BBC and MG ALBA. The channel was launched on 19 September 2008 and is on-air for up to seven hours a day. The name Alba is the Scottish Gaelic name for Scotland. The station is unique in that it is the first channel to be delivered under a BBC licence by a partnership and is also the first multi-genre channel to come entirely from Scotland with almost all of its programmes made in Scotland.

RTÉ Sport

RTÉ Sport is a department of Irish public broadcaster RTÉ. The department provides sporting coverage through a number of platforms including RTÉ Radio, RTÉ Television, RTÉ.ie, RTÉ Player Sport and RTÉ Mobile. RTÉ holds the television and radio broadcasting rights in the Republic of Ireland to several sports, broadcasting the sport live or alongside flagship analysis programmes such as The Sunday Game, Thank GAA It's Friday, Soccer Republicfor a half an hour and RTÉ Racing on RTÉ Television, and Game On, Saturday Sport, and Sunday Sport on RTÉ Radio.
