The three members of a-ha, Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar Savoy, were appointed Knights of the 1st Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav for their contribution to Norwegian music. The Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav is granted as a reward for distinguished services to their country and mankind. The official ceremony took place on 6 November 2012. Sonja is the Queen consort of Norway since 17 January 1991 as the wife of King Harald V.
A-ha is a Norwegian synth-pop band formed in Oslo in 1982. Founded by Paul Waaktaar-Savoy (guitars), Magne Furuholmen, and Morten Harket (vocals), the band rose to fame during the mid-1980s.
Paul Waaktaar-Savoy is a Norwegian musician and songwriter. He was named Knights First Class of the Order of St. Olav by King Harald for his services to Norwegian music and his international success. Pål Savoy is best known for his work as the main songwriter and guitarist in the Norwegian pop band A-ha, which has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide. He has written or co-written most of the band's biggest hits, including "The Sun Always Shines on T.V.", "Hunting High and Low", "Take On Me", the James Bond theme "The Living Daylights" and the ballad "Summer Moved On". In addition, Waaktaar-Savoy is also a painter.

Magne Furuholmen is a Norwegian musician and visual artist. He was named Knight First Class of the Order of St. Olav by King Harald for his services to Norwegian music and his international success. Furuholmen, better known to music fans by his stage name Mags, is the keyboardist of the synthpop/rock band A-ha, and co-wrote hits such as "Take On Me", "Stay on These Roads", "Manhattan Skyline", "Cry Wolf", "Forever Not Yours", "Analogue ", "Minor Earth Major Sky", "Touchy!", "You Are the One", "Move To Memphis" and "Foot of the Mountain". The band A-ha has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide.

Kaja Bordevich Ballo was a Norwegian university student who took her own life in Nice, France, on March 28, 2008, shortly after taking an Oxford Capacity Analysis (OCA), a personality test administered by the Church of Scientology, earlier the same day. Family and friends state that Ballo was happy prior to taking the OCA, and that her mood dramatically shifted after receiving the results; she jumped from the fourth floor of her dorm room hours later. In addition to a suicide note, Ballo's family found the OCA among her belongings. French police investigated connections between Scientology and Ballo's death, and interviewed two leaders of the Church of Scientology in France; prosecutors stated in December 2008 that they were unable to establish a causative link.

Out of My Hands is the fifth studio album and third English-language album by Norwegian pop singer Morten Harket. It was released on April 13, 2012 through Island Records. The album was mainly produced by British record producer Steve Osborne, who worked with a-ha on their ninth studio album, Foot of the Mountain (2009). Upon its release, the album received generally mixed reviews from Norwegian music critics. The album charted at number one in Norway, becoming the singer's third number-one album there.

Brother is the sixth studio album and fourth English-language album by Norwegian singer & A-Ha lead vocalist Morten Harket. It was released on 11 April 2014 through Universal Music. "There Is a Place" was released as the album's first single on 29 November 2013. On 18 January 2014, "Brother" was released as the second single. It was premiered the same day at the Norwegian award show, Spellemannprisen. The song was inspired by the Radical, the memoir of British Islamist-turned-Liberal activist Maajid Nawaz. It was featured as the Album of the Week on the Ken Bruce Show on BBC Radio 2 from 21 to 25 April 2014. The music video for the song "Brother" was directed by long time friend and Hollywood director Harald Zwart.
Kåre Christoffer Vestrheim is a Norwegian record producer, musician and composer from Sarpsborg, Norway. He plays guitar and keyboards. He is also the co-founder of Propeller Recordings, which has released albums for the artists Hanne Hukkelberg, Superfamily, Katzenjammer, Moddi, Team Me and Highasakite.
