Canadian singer Shania Twain has been honored numerous times since her debut. Her self-titled debut studio album Shania Twain (1993), was certified platinum by the RIAA. Her follow up The Woman In Me (1995), sold over 12 million copies in the US (Diamond) and 20 million copies worldwide. Twain's third studio album Come On Over (1997), is the best selling album in country music history and the best selling album of all time by a female artist in any genre, having sold over 40 million copies worldwide and being certified 2× Diamond in the US. Her fourth release Up! (2002), was also certified Diamond in the US. In 2003, she was the only female artist to have 3 consecutive albums certified Diamond in the US. Afterwards, Twain released her Greatest Hits (2004) package, which was certified 4× platinum in the US. Damhnait Doyle is a Canadian singer, composer and radio host. A phonetic spelling of her first name also serves as the title of her 2003 album. She was a member of Atlantic Canadian band Shaye from 2003–2009 with Kim Stockwood and Tara MacLean (2003–2007). Along with Blake Manning, Stuart Cameron and Peter Fusco, she formed a new band called The Heartbroken which was active since 2009.
Kim Stockwood is a Canadian pop musician, singer and composer originally from St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. She has recorded as a solo artist and also as a member of Atlantic Canadian music group Shaye with Damhnait Doyle and Tara MacLean.
Beverley Mahood is a in Irish born Canadian country music singer-songwriter and television host based in Ontario, Canada. Beverley emigrated from Belfast to Canada as a child. She is also formerly part of the all-female trio Lace, produced by David Foster. From 2004 to 2005, she co-hosted the Citytv Vancouver morning show, Breakfast Television. Mahood was then named to co-host CMT Canada's flagship show, CMT Central. She starred as the anchor judge on the series "CMT Chevy Karaoke Star." Prairie Oyster was a Canadian country music group from Toronto, Ontario. They were named Country Group or Duo of the year six times by both the Canadian Country Music Association (CCMA) and the Juno Awards. The band also won the Bud Country Fans' Choice Award from the CCMA in 1994. They have four No. 1 country singles in Canada, with an additional 12 singles reaching the Canadian Country Top 10. Terry Kelly, CM is a Canadian country/folk music artist, athlete and professional speaker. Kelly has released six studio albums and charted eleven singles on the RPM Canadian country singles chart. In addition to award nominations from the Juno Awards and the Canadian Country Music Association, Kelly has also won seven East Coast Music Awards. In 2003, Kelly was inducted into the Order of Canada, the highest civilian honour within the Canadian system of honours. He sang the Canadian National Anthem at the Opening Ceremonies for the 2010 Winter Paralympics in Vancouver and also sang at the official installation ceremony of the 28th Governor General of Canada in 2010.
Family Brown was a Canadian country music band founded in 1967 by Joe Brown, along with his son Barry and daughters Lawanda and Tracey (vocals), as well as Dave Dennison (guitar) and Ron Sparling (drums). Between 1967 and 1990, the band charted several singles in both Canada and the United States. The band also won eighteen Canadian Country Music Association awards, the most received by any artist. After disbanding in 1990, Barry and Tracey Brown and Randall Prescott formed the group Prescott-Brown in 1991.
