The town formerly had an active textile industry, and was the site of a major episode in the Irish War of Independence.

Newtown Pery is an area of central Limerick, Ireland, and forms the main city centre of the city. The district is known for its Georgian architectural heritage and is the core area of Limerick's Georgian Quarter. It is one of the three towns that make up modern-day Limerick City Centre, the other two being the older Englishtown and Irishtown, which date from the medieval period. Newtown Pery houses the largest collection of Georgian townhouses in Ireland outside of Dublin. In 1837, Samuel Lewis in his Topographical Dictionary of Ireland described Newtown Pery as "one of the handsomest towns in Ireland".

Miri District is an administrative district in Miri Division, Sarawak, Malaysia covering a total area of 4707 km2. The Miri District can be divided into Miri City (997.43 km2), Sibuti sub-district (842.47 km2), and Niah sub-district (2887.21 km2). They are governed by Miri District Office located in Miri City, Sibuti sub-district office, and Niah sub-district office. The Miri City is administered by Miri City Council (MCC). Meanwhile, Niah and Sibuti sub-district falls under the jurisdiction of Subis District Council headquartered at Bekenu.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">National Inventory of Architectural Heritage</span>

The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage (NIAH) maintains a central database of the architectural heritage of the Republic of Ireland covering the period since 1700 in complement to the Archaeological Survey of Ireland, which focuses on archaeological sites of the pre-1700 period. As of 2022, there are over 50,000 records in the database, including buildings, monuments, street furniture and other structures. It does not cover Northern Ireland.

Finny is a small village and townland in County Mayo, Ireland. The village is situated in the civil parish of Ross, in the Barony of Ross. Finny is located on the R300 regional road. The nearby Finny River, rising from the south-east of Loch Na Fooey drains westward into the southwest part of Lough Mask. Finny is approximately 10 km to the west of Clonbur, County Galway, 11 km to the east of Leenaun, County Galway and 17 km south west of Toormakeady, County Mayo.

Clongeen is a village and civil parish in County Wexford, Ireland. The village is about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) south of Foulkesmill. The population was 267 at the 2016 census. The village's Catholic church, St Aidan's, was completed in 1839. Clongeen GAA Club competes in football and camogie.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Neale's Musick Hall, Dublin</span> Demolished historic public building in Dublin, Ireland

Neale's Musick Hall, also known as Mr. Neal's New Musick Hall, the New Musick-Hall, Mr. Neale's Great Room, Neal's Musick Room, the Great Musick Hall, Mr. Neale's Great Musick Hall or the Fishamble Street Music Hall was a purpose-built music hall that existed on Fishamble Street in Dublin city centre. It was built using subscriptions from a charitable organisation named 'The Charitable and Musical Society', and operated from 1741 until the mid-19th century. William Neale, a local musical instrument-maker and music publisher, was the secretary/treasurer of the society during the conception and construction phase of the project. The building is most notable for the premiere of Handel's Messiah which took place within it on the afternoon of 13 April 1742.
