It is an autonomous institute, which is funded by Government of Madhya Pradesh and managed by the Maharaja Jiwaji Rao Education Society chaired by Hon'ble Shrimant Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia.
The institute started with degree courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering & Electrical Engineering. The institute now offers nine full-time and six Part-time undergraduate courses leading to the degree in Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) and sixteen Postgraduate courses in the areas of Engineering, Science and Management. The college campus is spread over an area of 85 acres of lush green land with natural surroundings.

Sushila Devi Bansal College of Technology is a private engineering and management institute in Indore, India mainly offering graduate and post-graduate courses in engineering and management programmes. the college is approved by AICTE and affiliated to RGPV, Bhopal and DAVV, Indore. It is an institute of the Bansal Group. It was established in 2005. The site chosen for the institute was Umariya, (15 km) from the city of Indore, with an area of 44 acres (180,000 m2).
