Sindh Province of Pakistan

Sindh is one of the four provinces of Pakistan. Located in the southeastern parts of the country, Sindh is the third-largest province of Pakistan by total area and the second-largest province by population after Pakistani Punjab. It shares land borders with the Pakistani provinces of Balochistan and Punjab to the north, respectively, and the Indian states of Gujarat and Rajasthan to the east; it is also bounded by the Arabian Sea to the south. Sitara-e-Jurat is the third highest military award of Pakistan. It was established in 1957 after Pakistan became a Republic; however, it was instituted retrospectively back to 1947. It is awarded for gallantry or distinguished service in combat; and can be bestowed upon officers, junior commissioned officers, petty officers, warrant officers, soldiers, sailors, airmen, and equivalents in the Pakistan Army, Navy, Air Force, and various paramilitary forces under federal control, such as the Frontier Corps, the Frontier Constabulary, and the Pakistan Rangers. It may be considered to be roughly equivalent to the Military Cross and the Silver Star.

Fatima Jinnah Dental College, commonly referred to by the acronym FJDC, is the oldest dental school in Karachi and one of the oldest in Pakistan. Established in 1992, it is run and managed by a duly registered Fatima Jinnah Dental College & Hospital Trust. It offers students a four-year undergraduate program leading to a degree of Bachelor of Dental Sciences (BDS) in addition to sponsoring graduate students to post-graduate qualification of M.S., MPhil and Ph.D.

The Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre is located at Rafiqui Shaheed Road in Karachi Cantonment area of Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. In 2015, approximately one million patients visit the hospital complex annually and it is considered one of the biggest government-operated hospitals in Karachi.

Nursing is a major component of Pakistan's health-care system. The topic has been the subject of extensive historical studies, is as of 2009 a major issue in the country, and has been the subject of much scholarly discussion amongst academics and practitioners. In 2009, Pakistan’s government stated its intent to improve the country's nursing care.

Syed Adeebul Hasan Rizvi is a Pakistani philanthropist, doctor, Renal transplant surgeon and founder of the Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), the largest kidney transplant centre in Pakistan. This institute is affiliated with the nearby Civil Hospital, Karachi.

Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation Hospital in Sindh, Pakistan

The Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation (SIUT) is a dialysis & kidney transplant centre located in Pakistan. SIUT was founded by Dr. Adibul Hasan Rizvi and it is Pakistan's largest kidney disease center, as well as Pakistan's largest public sector health organisation. It began as a department of urology at the government-run Civil Hospital in 1970 and became autonomous in 1991. Ten to twelve transplants are performed weekly, and in 2003, doctors at SIUT performed Pakistan's first liver transplant. In 2004, a child care unit was opened.

Amir Azam Khan

Sardar Amir Azam was a Pakistani politician and entrepreneur. Azam was a cabinet minister during the 1950s and was the pioneer of low cost housing in Pakistan. He initially emerged in 1951 as an M.C.A. in the very first Pakistani Government headed by Mr. Liaquat Ali Khan, and later re-emerged as the Minister of State and the Central Minister, several times in the succeeding Pakistani Governments. He held multiple portfolios simultaneously. He is buried at Garhi Afghanan,near Taxila, his ancestral graveyard.

Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College Lyari

Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College is a medical school in Lyari, Karachi, Pakistan, that opened in March 2011. The Principal of the college is Dr. Anjum Rehman. The college was opened with financial support from the Government of Pakistan. Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Medical College part of Lyari General Postgraduate Medical Centre also known as Lyari General Hospital. It also has Institute of Cardiology and is a teaching hospital. It was formerly affiliated with Dow University of Health Sciences.

Jinnah Medical and Dental College was established in 1998 in Karachi, Sindh Pakistan. It is located in the heart of Karachi on Shaheed-e-Millat Road. The first batch of doctors and dentists graduated from JMDC in 2003 and 2004 whereas first batch of pharmacy graduated in 2009. The college is affiliated with the JINNAH SINDH MEDICAL UNIVERSITY (JSMU), which awards MBBS, BDS and pharm-D degrees to its graduates. Graduates from JMDC are eligible to sit for foreign qualifying examinations such as USMLE (ECFMG) and PLAB.

Jinnah Sindh Medical University Pakistani university

Jinnah Sindh Medical University, formerly known as Sindh Medical College, is a medical university in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It gained university status in June 2012.

Javed Iqbal Kazi (1955–2014) was a Pakistani Pathologist specialized in Renal pathology, professor and chairman of Histopathology at Karachi Medical and Dental College, Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation, Dr. Ziauddin Hospitals & National Institute of Blood Diseases, and served as Dean of medicine of University of Karachi. He was also the board member of Journal of Pakistan Medical Association since 2005. He established the department of Histopathology at Sindh Institute of Urology & Transplantation, Karachi, in 1995 and is said to have established Renal and Transplant Pathology in Pakistan.
