List of knights bachelor appointed in 1915

Knight Bachelor is the oldest and lowest-ranking form of knighthood in the British honours system; it is the rank granted to a man who has been knighted by the monarch but not inducted as a member of one of the organised orders of chivalry. [1] Women are not knighted; in practice, the equivalent award for a woman is appointment as Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (founded in 1917).

Field Marshal William Riddell Birdwood, 1st Baron Birdwood, was a British Army officer. He saw active service in the Second Boer War on the staff of Lord Kitchener. He saw action again in the First World War as commander of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps during the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915, leading the landings on the peninsula and then the evacuation later in the year, before becoming commander-in-chief of the Fifth Army on the Western Front during the closing stages of the war. He went on to be general officer commanding the Northern Army in India in 1920 and Commander-in-Chief, India, in 1925.

Robert Younger, Baron Blanesburgh, was a British barrister and judge. He served as a law lord until 1937, when failing eyesight forced his retirement.

Gilbert Francis Montriou Campion, 1st Baron Campion,, known as Sir Gilbert Campion between 1937 and 1950, was a British civil servant. He served as Clerk of the House of Commons from 1937 to 1948.

Lieutenant-Colonel Sir Peter Henry Clutterbuck was a British colonial civil servant and expert in forestry conservation, who worked as the Inspector General of Forests to the Government of India.

The chief justice of the Leeward Islands headed the Supreme Court of the Leeward Islands.
