The following is a list of major crimes in Singapore. They are arranged in chronological order.
Major crimes such as murder, homicide, kidnapping, rape and sexual assault, as well as firearms- and explosive-related crimes, are dealt with by the Major Crime Division of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Singapore Police Force. [1] Drug-related crimes such as drug trafficking are handled by the Central Narcotics Bureau. White-collar crimes such as fraud and misappropriation of finances are handled by the Commercial Affairs Department [2] while corruption offences are under the purview of the Corrupt Practices Investigation Bureau. Crimes which are of concern to Singapore's national security are dealt with by the Internal Security Department under the Internal Security Act and other relevant laws. [3]
The Australian Federal Police (AFP) is the national and principal federal law enforcement agency of the Australian Government with the unique role of investigating crime and protecting the national security of the Commonwealth of Australia. The AFP is an independent agency of the Department of Home Affairs and is responsible to the minister for home affairs and accountable to the Parliament of Australia. As of October 2019 the commissioner of the Australian Federal Police is Reece Kershaw, formerly the Northern Territory Police Commissioner.

The Customs and Excise Department (C&ED) is a government agency responsible for the protection of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region against smuggling; the protection and collection of revenue on dutiable goods on behalf of the Hong Kong Government; the detection and deterrence of drug trafficking and abuse of controlled drugs; the protection of intellectual property rights; the protection of consumer interests; and the protection and facilitation of legitimate trade and upholding Hong Kong's trading integrity.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, abbreviated МUS (МУС) in Belarusian and MVD (МВД) in Russian, is a body of the Belarusian Government that is charged with the internal affairs of Belarus. Day to day law enforcement is carried out by the Militsiya. The Ministry is also tasked with providing security to state buildings and officials. Organizations such as the Presidential Guard are under the control of the Ministry. The clearing of landmines is among the tasks of the ministry.
Law enforcement in Singapore comes under a number of law enforcement agencies, led by the Singapore Police Force as the national police agency. Assisting the police are a range of governmental and private sector organisations and companies that engage in specialised roles and allow the police to concentrate on their main public policing roles. In addition, the strong emphasis on community policing since the 1980s has attempted to promote a culture in which civilians can partake and contribute directly in law enforcement efforts.
A border guard of a country is a national security agency that performs border security. Some of the national border guard agencies also perform coast guard and rescue service duties.
Essex Police is a territorial police force responsible for policing the county of Essex, in the east of England, consisting of over 1.8 million people and around 1,420 square miles (3,700 km2). It has over 3,500 police officers, including over 500 special constables.
The Ministry of Home Affairs, or simply the Home Ministry, is a ministry of the Government of India. As an interior ministry of India, it is mainly responsible for the maintenance of internal security and domestic policy. The Home Ministry is headed by Union Minister of Home Affairs Amit Shah.
The Federal Police, formerly known as the Policía Federal Preventiva, was a Mexican national police force. It was under the authority of the Department of Security and Civil Protection. They were sometimes referred to by the slang term "Federales" or "Mexican feds" by some U.S. agents and media. Typically, agents of the Federal Police were heavily armed and wear dark blue, black, or gray combat fatigues. The Federal Police was officially dissolved and absorbed into the National Guard, a new national police institution created by president Andrés Manuel López Obrador, on 1 October 2019.
Law enforcement in Azerbaijan comes under the control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan, which administers the National Police of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Admitted to the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) on 30 January 1992, with an OSCE office opening in Baku on 16 November 1999, and as a member of INTERPOL, the National police force is well integrated into the law enforcement network of European countries.
The Royal Malaysia Police, is a (primarily) uniformed national and federal police force in Malaysia. The force is a centralised organisation. Its headquarters are located at Bukit Aman, Kuala Lumpur. The police force is led by an Inspector-General of Police (IGP) who, as of 4 May 2021, is Acryl Sani Abdullah Sani.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office is the sheriff's office for Hennepin County in the U.S. state of Minnesota. HCSO serves one million residents and is located downtown in the city of Minneapolis, the county seat. The office manages the county jail, patrols waterways, provides security for the District Court, handles home foreclosures, participates in homeland security activities and in law enforcement, and by state law is responsible for handling applications for permits to carry a firearm for residents of Hennepin County.
In many countries, particularly those with a federal system of government, there may be several law enforcement agencies, police or police-like organizations, each serving different levels of government and enforcing different subsets of the applicable law.
The Main Directorate for Drugs Control is a law enforcement agency of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia responsible for the regulation of narcotics and investigation of drug crimes.
The Special Branch Bureau or SBB is a Law enforcement agency under the Royal Thai Police Headquarters. Special Branch Bureau has major security functions to the king, queen and all the royal family along with the action on the intelligence of the person or group that acts as a threat to national security. The agency was established on 17 November 2475 by Royal Decree of His Majesty King Prajadhipok's by the advise of The House of Representatives. As a result, the department is divided into four disivsion. Sometimes referred to by critics as the "political police", it is responsible for controlling subversive activities and serves as the Thai Police's major intelligence organization, as well as the unit responsible for VIP protection.
The Militsiya of the Republic of Belarus is a law enforcement agency in Belarus responsible for regular policing duties in the country.
The Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF) is structured into numerous bureaus and units. As a whole, it is commanded by the Commissioner of Police, who is assisted by three deputy commissioners. The "Deputy Commissioner – Operations" supervises all operational matters including crime. The "Deputy Commissioner – Management" is responsible for the direction and co-ordination of force management including personnel, training, and management services. The “Deputy Commissioner — National Security” is responsible for the National Security Department, which deals with acts of sedition, terrorism, and collusion with foreign governments.
