The Provincial Assembly of Sindh is a unicameral legislature of elected representatives of the Pakistani province of Sindh, and is located in Karachi, its provincial capital. It was established under Article 106 of the Constitution of Pakistan having a total of 168 seats, with 130 general seats, 29 seats reserved for women and 9 seats reserved for non-Muslims.
Syed Qaim Daim Ali Shah is a Pakistani politician who served as the elected Chief Minister of Sindh for three terms. His last two terms combined, a total of eight years, makes him the longest serving Chief Minister of Sindh. He is Sindh President of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and was an elected Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) from PS-220 (Khairpur-1).
Sassui Palijo is a politician and a columnist from Thatta, Sindh, Pakistan. Palijo is currently affiliated to Pakistan Peoples Party, served as a Senator on women's reserved seat from Sindh from 2015 to 2021. She is also a two-time Member of the Sindh Provincial Assembly from PS-85 (Thatta-II).

Shazia Atta Marri, also known as Shazia Jannat Marri, is a Pakistani politician, former Federal Minister and Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Programme. She has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since February 2024 and previously served in this position from July 2012 to August 2013, from August 2013 to May 2018, and from August 2018 till August 2023. She was the Minister for Poverty Alleviation and Social Safety from April 2022 to August 2023.
The chief minister of Sindh, is the elected head of government of Sindh and serves alongside the Chief Secretary. Syed Murad Ali Shah is the current Chief Minister of Sindh, serving as a Government of Sindh since 26 February 2024.
Presidential elections were held on 30 July 2013 in Pakistan to elect the 12th President of Pakistan. Incumbent President Asif Ali Zardari’s term was scheduled to expire on 8 September 2013; and as such, Article 41 of the Constitution of Pakistan required the elections to be held no later than 8 August 2013. The Electoral College of Pakistan – a joint sitting of the Senate, National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies – were tasked with electing a new president to succeed President Zardari, who declined to seek a second term in office. After the Pakistan Peoples Party and its allies boycotted the presidential election, the two candidates were Mamnoon Hussain backed by the Pakistan Muslim League (N), and Wajihuddin Ahmed backed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. Agra-born Hussain was elected president by a majority securing 432 votes. The elections were the first time in Pakistani history where a civilian president was elected while an incumbent civilian President was still in office, completing a historic and democratic transition of power that began with the 2013 General Elections.
Syed Sardar Ali Shah is a Pakistani politician who served as the Provincial Minister of Sindh for Education, Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities and Archives. He had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 2013 to 2018, 2018 to 2023 and is also currently a member since 2024.
Khawaja Izharul Hassan is a Pakistani politician from the Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM) and was the leader of the opposition in the 12th Sindh Assembly. Imran Ismail is a Pakistani businessman and politician. He served as the 33rd governor of Sindh from 27 August 2018 to 18 April 2022. Before being appointed Governor of Sindh, he was a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh for a brief period in August 2018.
Syed Firdous Shamim Naqvi is a Pakistani politician who served as the Leader of the Opposition in the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 24 September 2018 to 8 January 2021. He had been a member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from August 2018 to August 2023. He has served as a member of the Core Committee of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf since 1996. He has also served from 2015 to 2019 in the Karachi Municipal Corporation as Union Council Chairman for UC-18 Karachi East.
Nuzhat Pathan is a Pakistani politician who had been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan from August 2018 till August 2023. Previously, she was a member of Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 2002 to 2013.
Provincial elections were held in the Pakistani province of North-West Frontier Province to elect the members of the 8th Provincial Assembly of North-West Frontier Province on 10 October 2002, alongside nationwide general elections and three other provincial elections in Sindh, Balochistan and Punjab. The remaining two territories of Pakistan, AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan, were ineligible to vote due to their disputed status. The elections were held under the military government of General Pervez Musharraf.
