Democratic Alternative, sometimes referred to as AD – The Green Party, was a green political party in Malta. The party was initially founded by a coalition of former Labour Party members and environmental activists in 1989. On 1 August 2020 the party announced a plan to merge with the Democratic Party to form a new party called AD+PD. The merger was conducted on 17 October 2020.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Michael Spindelegger</span> Austrian lawyer and politician

Michael Spindelegger is an Austrian politician. He served in the cabinet of Chancellor Werner Faymann as foreign minister of Austria from 2008 to 2013 and as finance minister from 2013 to 2014; additionally, he held the office of vice-chancellor from 2011 to 2014. Spindelegger was also the leader of the Austrian People's Party (ÖVP) from 2011 to 2014. In August 2014 he unexpectedly resigned from all political positions. Since 2016, he has been serving as Director General of the Vienna-based International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD).

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Freedom Party of Austria</span> Austrian political party

The Freedom Party of Austria is a national-conservative and right-wing populist political party in Austria. It has been led by Herbert Kickl since 2021. It is the third largest of five parties in the National Council, with 30 of the 183 seats, and won 16.2% of votes cast in the 2019 legislative election and it is represented in all nine state legislatures. On a European level, the FPÖ is a founding member of the Identity and Democracy Party and its three MEPs sit with the Identity and Democracy (ID) group.

Cristian Silviu Bușoi is a Romanian physician and politician. A member of the National Liberal Party (PNL), he was a member of the Romanian Chamber of Deputies for Timiș County from 2004 to 2007, and was a Member of the European Parliament from 2007 to 2013, a position he regained in 2014. He currently chairs the European Parliament's Committee on Industry, Research and Energy (ITRE).

Pirate Parties International (PPI) is an international non-profit and non-governmental organization with headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Formed in 2010, it serves as a worldwide organization for Pirate Parties, currently representing 39 members from 36 countries across Europe, the Americas, Asia, Africa and Australasia. The Pirate Parties are political incarnations of the freedom of expression movement, trying to achieve their goals by the means of the established political system rather than just through activism. In 2017 PPI had been granted special consultative status to the United Nations Economic and Social Council.

Sebastian Kurz is an Austrian former politician who served twice as the chancellor of Austria, initially from December 2017 to May 2019 and then a second time from January 2020 to October 2021.

Members of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly who served in the 56th Parliament held their seats from 2015 to 2019. They were as elected at the 2015 state election and at by-elections. The Speaker was Shelley Hancock.

Tiemo Wölken is a German lawyer and politician who has been a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) since 14 November 2016. He is a member of the Social Democratic Party, part of the Party of European Socialists.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Second May ministry</span> Government of the United Kingdom (2017-2019)

The second May ministry was formed on 11 June 2017 after Theresa May returned to office following the June 2017 snap general election. The election resulted in a hung parliament with the Conservative Party losing its governing majority in the House of Commons. On 9 June 2017, May announced her intention to form a Conservative minority government, reliant on the confidence and supply of the Democratic Unionist Party; a finalised agreement between the two parties was signed and published on 26 June 2017.

JETZT – Pilz List, founded in 2017 as the Peter Pilz List, was a green and left-wing populist political party in Austria. It was founded by Peter Pilz, a former member of The Greens – The Green Alternative, who left his previous party in July 2017 and formed the Peter Pilz List to run in the October legislative election. The party won 4.4% of votes cast and 8 seats. In the 2019 legislative election, the party lost its representation in the National Council.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Beate Meinl-Reisinger</span> Austrian jurist and politician (born 1978)

Beate Meinl-Reisinger is an Austrian politician serving as leader of NEOS – The New Austria and Liberal Forum since June 2018. She is also the leader of the party's parliamentary group in the National Council since 2018. Previously, she was a member of the National Council and from 2015 to 2018, and a member of the Gemeinderat and Landtag of Vienna, where she also led the NEOS group. She returned to the National Council after the resignation of Matthias Strolz in 2018.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Renew Europe</span> European Parliament political group

Renew Europe (Renew) is a liberal, pro-European political group of the European Parliament founded for the ninth European Parliament term. The group is the successor to the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) group which existed during the sixth, seventh and eighth terms from 2004 to 2019. Renew Europe in the European Committee of the Regions is the sister group of Renew Europe.
