This list of mines in Portugal is subsidiary to the list of mines article and lists working, defunct and future mines in the country and is organised by the primary mineral output. For practical purposes stone, marble and other quarries may be included in this list.
The Azores, officially the Autonomous Region of the Azores, is one of the two autonomous regions of Portugal. Castro Verde is a town and a municipality of the Alentejo region of Portugal. The population in 2011 was 7,276, in an area of 569.44 km2. Castro Verde is situated in the Baixo Alentejo subregion, within a territory known locally as the Campo Branco . The municipality can be recognized by the local municipal markers along its borders, that appear within its borders to denote its reference as A Window on the Plains; municipal markers appear as stylized house profiles, with an exaggerated window that allows the visitor to see through into the panorama.
Miranda do Corvo is a town and a municipality in the Portuguese district of Coimbra, with an area of 126.38 square kilometres (48.80 sq mi) and 2011 population of 13,098 inhabitants.
Lundin Mining Corporation is a Canadian company that owns and operates mines in Sweden, United States, Chile, Portugal and Brazil that produce base metals such as copper, zinc, and nickel. Headquartered in Toronto, the company was founded by Adolf Lundin and operated by Lukas Lundin. While it was incorporated to pursue an interest in a diamond mine in Brazil, the company re-structured and raised funds to develop the Storliden mine in Sweden. It purchased the Swedish Zinkgruvan Mine from Rio Tinto and then merged with Arcon International Resources for its Galmoy Mine in Ireland and with Eurozinc for its Neves-Corvo mine in Portugal. The company subsequently purchased and operated the Eagle mine, Candelaria mine, and Chapada mine.

The Iberian Pyrite Belt is a vast geographical area with particular geological features that stretches along much of the south of the Iberian Peninsula, from Portugal to Spain. It is about 250 km long and 30–50 km wide, running northwest to southeast from Alcácer do Sal (Portugal) to Sevilla (Spain). The mining activity in this region goes back thousands of years.
Neves-Corvo mine is a zinc-copper mine 15 km southeast of Castro Verde, Portugal and 220 km southeast of Lisbon, in the district of Beja. It has a dedicated rail link, the Ramal de Neves Corvo, to the main Linha do Sul railway, allowing export to the port of Setúbal and others. The mine is principally accessed by shaft mining and a ramp from surface. It is a main producer of copper and zinc mineral.
The Mines of Aljustrel is a zinc/lead mine situated in the civil parish of Aljustrel e Rio de Moinhos, in the municipality of Aljustrel, in the Portuguese Alentejo district of Beja. It was classified as a monument in 1982.

The Castle of Aljustrel, is a Portuguese medieval castle in civil parish of Aljustrel e Rio de Moinhos, in the municipality of Aljustrel, in the district of Beja.

Mining activities have continued since the pre-Roman era, when most of the region was known as Lusitania. Gold was once mined. The country remains among the largest European producers of copper and minerals.
Vale da Custa is a village in the southeastern part of the island of Santiago, Cape Verde. It is situated 2 km northwest of São Francisco Bay, 6 km southeast of Ribeirão Chiqueiro and 9 kilometres northeast of the capital Praia. It is part of the municipality of São Domingos and the parish of Nossa Senhora da Luz. In 2010 its population was 378.
Ramal de Neves-Corvo is a railway branch in Portugal, which connects the station of Ourique, on the Linha do Alentejo, to the Neves-Corvo mine.
