The President of Bolivia may freely reorganize the executive branch, with the most recent comprehensive reorganization occurring in February 2009. Since then, the Ministry for the Legal Defense of the State has become the independent office of Solicitor General, and the Ministry of Communication has been created.

Rodrigo Rivera Salazar is a Colombian politician. A lawyer, diplomat, professor and journalist, Rivera served in the Congress first as a Member of the Chamber of Representatives for two terms from 1990 to 1998, and then as Senator of Colombia for two terms from 1998 to 2006, when he retired from Congress to run, ultimately unsuccessfully, for the 2006 Liberal presidential nomination. In 2010, Rivera was appointed Minister of National Defence of Colombia by President Juan Manuel Santos Calderón and served until his resignation the following year.

Carlos Eduardo Medellín Becerra is a Colombian lawyer and diplomat and has served as Minister of Justice of Colombia and as Ambassador of Colombia to the United Kingdom.

Fernando Carrillo Flórez is a Pontifical Xavierian University educated lawyer and economist, with postgraduate studies from Harvard University. He served as Colombia's 11th Minister of the Interior from 2012 to 2013, and 55th Minister of Justice from 1991 to 1992.

He was Attorney General of the city of Buenos Aires between 2007 and 2014 and substitute Councillor of the Council of Magistracy of Argentina.

The Ministry of Justice and Human Rights is the Ministry of State responsible for the law and judiciary. The current Minister of Justice and Human Rights is Luis Cordero, who has served since January 11, 2023.

The Ministry of Justice, Human Rights and Cults of Ecuador is the State portfolio in charge of justice in Ecuador. It was created on November 15, 2007 during the presidency of Rafael Correa. The Ministry was created in view of the need for a "coordinated and joint work of all justice operators, whose objective is to optimize the plans and projects of the judicial function, the Public Ministry, the Social Rehabilitation Directorate and other institutions related to the justice system." Its purpose, according to its official site, having achieved "the full observance of human rights" by 2017.

Established as early as 1826, the Ministry of Human Rights, Justice, Governance and Decentralization of Honduras was created from the territorial division of Honduras and was initially composed of seven departments. The ministry is responsible for matters pertaining to the internal government, which include the following:

José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes is a Spanish philosopher of law and politician of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) who has been serving as Minister of Culture and Sport in the government of Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez since 2020. He is also a member of the PSOE's federal executive board.
