The president of the Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay is the presiding officer in the Paraguayan lower house. The president is elected by the Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay for a one-year term.

Paraguayan foreign policy has concentrated on maintaining good relations with its neighbors, and it has been an active proponent of regional co-operation. It is a member of the United Nations and has served one term in the UN Security Council in 1967-1969. It maintains membership in several international financial institutions, including the World Bank, the Inter-American Development Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. It also belongs to the Organization of American States, the Latin American Integration Association (ALADI), the Rio Group, INTERPOL, MERCOSUR and UNASUR.
Bernardino Caballero de Añazco Melgarejo y Genes was a Paraguayan military officer and politician, serving as a General during the Paraguayan War and later as President of Paraguay between September 1880 and November 1886. He was the founder of the Colorado Party in September 1887, the largest political party in Paraguay currently, along with the Liberal Party in second position.
Adolfo Saguier was a Paraguayan politician who served as the nation's Vice President from 1878 to 1880.
Patricio Escobar was President of Paraguay between November 25, 1886, and November 25, 1890.

Radio Nacional del Paraguay is the public radio broadcaster of Paraguay. It is a division of the Ministry of Information Technologies and Communication alongside national public TV channel Paraguay TV. Programs are in Spanish and in the Guarani language.
A Coruña is one of the 52 constituencies represented in the Congress of Deputies, the lower chamber of the Spanish parliament, the Cortes Generales. The constituency currently elects 8 deputies. Its boundaries correspond to those of the Spanish province of A Coruña. The electoral system uses the D'Hondt method and a closed-list proportional representation, with a minimum threshold of three percent.

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in Paraguay face legal challenges not experienced by non-LGBT residents. Both male and female types of same-sex sexual activity are legal in Paraguay, but same-sex couples and households headed by same-sex couples are not eligible for all of the same legal protections available to opposite-sex married couples. Paraguay remains one of the few conservative countries in South America regarding LGBT rights.

The Governor of Bohol is the local chief executive of the provincial government of Bohol, Philippines. The governor holds office at the Bohol New Provincial Capitol in Tagbilaran City and its official residence is at the Governor's Mansion located along Carlos P. Garcia Avenue in Cogon District, also in Tagbilaran. Like all local government heads in the Philippines, the governor is elected via popular vote, and may not be elected for a fourth consecutive term. In case of death, resignation or incapacity, the vice governor becomes the governor. Along with the governors of Cebu, Negros Oriental, and Siquijor, together with the city mayors of Cebu, Lapu-lapu, and Mandaue, the province's chief executive is a member of the Regional Development Council of the Central Visayas Region.
Venancio Víctor López Otazú was a Paraguayan journalist, diplomat and professor of law. He was a grandson of Carlos Antonio López, who was the leader of Paraguay between 1841 and 1862, and nephew of Francisco Solano López, president of Paraguay between 1862 and 1870.
