<i>Oggy and the Cockroaches</i> French animated comedy series

Oggy and the Cockroaches is a French animated television series created by Jean-Yves Raimbaud and produced by Gaumont Multimedia for seasons 1–2 and Xilam Animation for seasons 3–7. The series chronicles the exploits and adventures of Oggy, a blue cat whose life is constantly interrupted by three cockroaches – Dee Dee, Marky, and Joey respectively – who love to cause mischief within his home. The show employs silent comedy: characters either do not speak or use unintelligible vocalizations and gestures. The show premiered in September 1998 on France 3, and later expanded internationally. The series ended in January 2019, having released seven seasons in over two decades. The cartoon also relies on slapstick humour much like its inspiration and spiritual predecessor "Tom and Jerry". only amplifying the level of extremities up a notch; while "traditional" slapstick cartoon characters prefer dropping anvils and pianos on each other, this show sometimes uses atomic bombs or submarines.

Pogo is an Indian cable and satellite television channel owned and operated by Warner Bros. Discovery India under its International division, as part of Cartoon Network India as the network's sister channel. It was launched on 1 January 2004. Broadcasting primarily animated and live action programming.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Marc du Pontavice</span> French animator and producer

Marc Marie Joseph Raymond du Pontavice is a French animator and businessman who is the producer of Oggy and the Cockroaches, The Magician, Space Goofs, Zig & Sharko and others. He was an executive producer from Gaumont, which is based in France. In 1990, he was co-founder of Gaumont Television. In 1994, the company started producing animated series, which was eventually transformed into Gaumont Multimedia in 1995. After leaving the company, he, along with Alix de Maistre, founded Xilam.

Xilam is a French animation studio which specializes in making animated television series and feature films. Marc du Pontavice and his wife Alix founded it in 1999 as a replacement for the animation division of Gaumont Multimédia, which was itself an offshoot of the company's television division Gaumont Télévision, a company he co-founded in 1990. Gaumont continued to have a deal with Xilam until 2003. Gaumont Multimédia was a video game publisher until closing in 2004.

<i>Zig & Sharko</i> French animated comedy series produced by Xilam Animation

Zig & Sharko is a French animated slapstick comedy television series created and directed by Olivier Jean-Marie and produced by Xilam Animation. The series' premise focuses on the lives of Zig, a brown hyena, and Sharko, a great white shark, over their conflicts regarding the mermaid Marina, in which Zig seeks to devour her while Sharko loves and protects her. The series employs silent comedy: the characters do not speak; rather they use nearly unintelligible vocalizations, gestures, and occasional pictograms in speech balloons.

Sunita Chand Rajwar is an Indian actress known for working in film, television and stage productions. She graduated from the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi in 1997. She is known for her performance in the films including Ek Chalis Ki Last Local (2007), Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (2020), Bala (2019), Stree (2018), Kedarnath (2018), and the Sony LIV's comedy series Gullak. Her performance in last of these won her a Filmfare OTT Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.

Oggy and the Cockroaches: The Movie is a 2013 French animated anthology comedy film directed and written by Olivier Jean-Marie, that premiered in France on August 7, 2013, to May 20-7. The film is based on the series Oggy and the Cockroaches, a silent slapstick comedy series similar to that of Hanna-Barbera's Tom and Jerry. This is the last film Olivier Jean-Marie made before his death on May 13, 2021.

Jean-Yves Stephane Marcel Raimbaud was a French animator and screenwriter. He is notable for creating the animated series, Oggy and the Cockroaches that officially debuted posthumously on 6 September 1998, on France 3. He also co-created Space Goofs with Philippe Traversat, the first show he made co-produced by Gaumont Multimedia and Xilam.

Mr. Magoo is a French animated series made by Xilam with the participation of Classic Media. It premiered in Portugal on December 17, 2018. It had its official international premiere on Boomerang Africa HD on July 3, 2019. The series was renewed for a second season in 2021. It premiered in the United Kingdom on CITV and the streaming service ITVX on December 10, 2022. The series was Olivier Jean-Marie's final production before his death on May 13, 2021.

Oggy Oggy is a French preschool computer-animated television series created by Jean Cayrol and Cédric Guarneri, and produced by Xilam with the participation of France Televisions. It is a spin-off to Oggy and the Cockroaches, based on the character by Jean-Yves Raimbaud and billed as the first French Netflix Original, in terms of animated series. It was released on August 24, 2021.

<i>Ekans – Snakes Awake</i> Indian animated series

Ekans – Snakes Awake also known as Ekans – Ek Se Badhkar Snake or simply Ekans is an Indian science fiction superhero computer-animated series produced by Hi-Tech Animation for Cartoon Network. The series centers around 13-year-old Ekans, whose name spelled backward would be "S, N, A, K, E". He has the ability to control snakes in form of robots and can also tackle real ones as well.

<i>Oggy and the Cockroaches: Next Generation</i> Animated reboot series based on Oggy and the Cockroaches

Oggy and the Cockroaches: Next Generation is a slapstick comedy animated series produced by Xilam for the streaming service Netflix. It is a reboot of Xilam’s long-running animated series, Oggy and the Cockroaches. Like the original series, it focuses on the wacky antics of Oggy and the trio of mischievous cockroaches that inhabit his house. Aside from the titular characters, the series also introduces the addition of the seven-year-old Piya – an optimistic elephant from India whom Oggy has to look after.
