After the birth of her son, she took some additional time off before going back into the studio in early 2015 to finish working on the album.

The album entered the top ten in the United States, and the top 40 in Scotland, Australia, and Canada. It failed to enter the UK Albums Chart, but entered at number one on the UK Country Albums chart.
