Ogunquit is a resort town in York County, Maine, United States. As of the 2020 census, its population was 1,577.
In American theater, summer stock theater is a theater that presents stage productions only in the summer. The name combines the season with the tradition of staging shows by a resident company, reusing stock scenery and costumes. Summer stock theaters frequently take advantage of seasonal weather by having their productions outdoors, under tents set up temporarily for their use, or in barns.
The Underpants is the most recent adaptation of the 1910 German farce Die Hose by the playwright Carl Sternheim. The adaptation was written by Steve Martin. It was produced at New York City's Off-Broadway theater Classic Stage Company from April 4, 2002 through April 28, 2002. The play, a "farcical send-up of bourgeois snobbery and conformity" was directed by Barry Edelstein and featured Cheryl Lynn Bowers and Byron Jennings as Louise and Theo Maske.

Portland Stage Company is a professional LORT theater company in the state of Maine. Founded as the Profile Theatre in 1974 as a touring theater company, the company made Portland a permanent home in 1976. In 1982, it moved to its current home of 25A Forest Ave, Portland, ME. Anita Stewart has served as the Artistic Director since 1996, and in 2006 was made Executive Director.
U.S. Route 1 (US 1) in the U.S. state of Maine is a major north–south U.S. Route serving the eastern part of the state. It parallels the Atlantic Ocean from New Hampshire north through Portland, Brunswick, and Belfast to Calais, and then the St. Croix River and the rest of the Canada–U.S. border via Houlton to Fort Kent. The portion along the ocean, known as the Coastal Route, provides a scenic alternate to Interstate 95 (I-95).
Deertrees Theatre is a performing arts center located in Harrison, Maine, United States. The theatre was founded by the distinguished opera director and singing coach Enrica Clay Dillon in 1936 and is now owned and operated by the non-profit Deertrees Foundation. As home to the Deertrees Theatre Festival, the Sebago-Long Lake Music Festival, the BackStage Gallery, and the Salt Lick Cafe, Deertrees is one of the most active summer theatres in the Northeast. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Maine Register of Historic Places, it is sanctioned by the Actors' Equity Association as "a small professional house."
Emily Muir was an American painter, architect and philanthropist. After attending Vassar College and the Art Students League of New York, she and her husband moved to Maine in 1939. Mostly known as a portrait painter, Muir painted the official portrait of Senator Margaret Chase Smith for the Maine State House, but early in her career, she and her husband toured throughout Europe and South America painting dioramas for a steamship company. Her watercolor painting, Orchard Street, is part of the permanent collections of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and she has works in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Farnsworth Art Museum and the Portland Museum of Art. Self-taught as an architect, Muir designed over 45 homes in or around Crockett Cove near Stonington, Maine. As a philanthropist, she was involved in finding a permanent home for the Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle and donated the Crockett Cove Woods Preserve and Wreck Island to The Nature Conservancy.
The Maine State League was a Class D level minor league baseball league that played in the 1897, 1907 and 1908 seasons. The eight–team Maine State League consisted of teams based in Maine and New Hampshire. The Maine State League permanently folded after the 1908 season. The Portland (1897), Bangor Cubs (1907) and Bangor White Sox (1908) teams won league championships.
The Biddeford Orphans were a minor league baseball team based in Biddeford, Maine. Preceded in minor league play by the 1885 Biddeford "Clamdiggers," who played as members of the 1885 Eastern New England League, the Orphans were members of the Class D level Maine State League in 1907 and 1908, hosting home games at St. Louis Park.
