Little Miss Perfect is an American reality television series that follows girls in the same beauty pageant each week. The pageant is hosted by Michael Galanes with judges Deedy Melanson, Nyahsha Zimucha, David Gilbert, and sometimes Janet McCullogh.

Contents

The show, like Toddlers & Tiaras , is aired without narration to avoid judgment. Unlike Toddlers & Tiaras, Little Miss Perfect has only two girls instead of three families and there is only one girl awarded a crown, sash, and money at the pageant.

Season 1 premiered on February 18, 2009, [1] and season 2 debuted on January 12, 2010. [2]

Miss America's Teen is an American scholarship pageant. Little Miss Sunshine is a 2006 American tragicomedy road film and the feature film directorial debut of the husband–wife team of Jonathan Dayton and Valerie Faris. The screenplay was written by first-time writer Michael Arndt. Toddlers & Tiaras or Another Toddlers & Tiaras is an American reality television series that aired on TLC from January 27, 2009, to October 16, 2013. After a three-year hiatus due to much controversy, Another Toddlers and Tiaras aired the sequel on August 24, 2016. The show follows the personal lives of families of contestants in a child beauty pageant. Like many shows about children pageants, it generated controversy for dressing the children provocatively. The show led to other reality show spin-offs: Eden's World, Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, and Cheer Perfection. On November 24, 2016, TLC cancelled the show after its 7th season.

Sexualization in child beauty pageants has been the topic of controversy and debate. Since all contestants for child beauty pageants are minors, there are concerns regarding the potential long-term negative impacts early sexualization can have on these children's psyche. The negative impacts can effect the contestant's self-esteem and relationship with their own bodies throughout their lives due to hyperfixation on achieving flawless adult aesthetics at a young age. In more extreme cases, the psychological impacts of early sexualization in pageants can lead to various psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety disorder, and various eating disorders. However, there is also support of children competing in beauty pageants due to the way they challenge children to have more confidence in order to able to compete successfully in these pageants.

Kim of Queens is a Lifetime reality TV show about a pageant coach, 1991 Miss Georgia winner Kim Gravel, which follows Gravel, her mother Jo, and her younger sister Allisyn as they train young girls for beauty pageants. It premiered on January 1, 2014.

Little Miss Atlanta is an American reality television series which aired on TLC in 2016. A spin-off of Toddlers and Tiaras, it profiles contestants in the Little Miss Black US Pageant system, based in Atlanta, Georgia. Each episode features three young African-American girls and their mothers as they compete in one of the system's pageants.

Kailia Lexis Posey was an American beauty pageant contestant and reality television personality best known for her appearance on the TLC show Toddlers and Tiaras.
