Little Papineau Lake is a lake in Hastings Highlands, Ontario. The lake lies approximately 329m above sea level [1] and is 83 hectares in size with a maximum depth of 17m. [2] Smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, yellow perch, pumpkinseed sunfish, white sucker and northern pike can be found in the lake and brook trout can be found in the creek feeding the lake. [3] [4] The lake is 80% Crown land and offers a public boat launch. [5] Little Papineau Lake is 170 km west of Ottawa and 1 km from Papineau Lake. There are deer, moose, herons and raptors that live on or near the lake. [6]

The north eastern part of the lake is a forest research area and on the south western part of the lake clear cutting and selection cutting was planned for 2020-2021 [7] [8]

The shoreline around the entire lake is an archaeological potential area. [9]

The lake is fed by Hawk Creek and Little Papineau Creek in the north and empties in the south through Little Papineau Creek which leads to Papineau Lake. [10] The lake is considered a warm water lake. [11]

The properties around the lake are a mix of waterfront residential, limited service residential and limited service residential island and environmental protection areas. [12]

The forest around the lake is predominantly mixed coniferous forest. [13] The area surrounding the lake is sparsely populated with only 6 residents per square kilometer. [14]

The Chilcotin River /tʃɪlˈkoʊtɪn/ located in Southern British Columbia, Canada is a 241 km (150 mi) long tributary of the Fraser River. The name Chilcotin comes from Tŝilhqot’in, meaning "ochre river people," where ochre refers to the mineral used by Tŝilhqot’in Nation and other Indigenous communities as a base for paint or dye. The Chilcotin River, Chilko River and Lake, and Taseko River and Lake make up the Chilcotin River watershed. This 19,200 km2 watershed drains the Chilcotin Plateau which reaches north to south from the Nechako Plateau to Bridge River county and east to west from Fraser River to the Coast Mountains. It is also one of twelve watersheds that make up the Fraser River Basin. Made up of seven major tributaries, Chilcotin River starts northeast of Itcha Mountain, flowing southeast until it joins the Fraser River south of Williams Lake or 22 km upstream from Gang Ranch.

King's Highway 41, commonly referred to as Highway 41, is a provincially maintained highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. Opeongo Hills

The Opeongo Hills are a range of hills in Southern Ontario, near Algonquin Provincial Park. The hills stretch from Opeongo Lake in Algonquin Park in the west, along the Madawaska and Opeongo Rivers, towards the Opeongo Colonization Road, and extending towards the Deacon Escarpment, Bonnechere, Ontario, and Dacre in the east. To the east of the Opeongo Hills lie the Madawaska River valley, the Mississippi River Valley, and the Ottawa-Bonnechere Graben along the Ottawa River. Abrams Creek (Tennessee) Stream in Tennessee, USA

Abrams Creek is a creek in Blount County, Tennessee. Its headwaters are in Cades Cove, and it is a tributary of the Little Tennessee River. It is named after the Chilhowee Cherokee chief Old Abraham ("Abram"). Visitors swim and fish in the creek. The creek was deliberately poisoned in 1957 to kill fish in potential competition with rainbow trout; many fish species were extirpated from the river and have never recovered.
