Liv Jagge-Christiansen

Liv Jagge-Christiansen (born February 25, 1943) is a Norwegian retired tennis player and alpine skier. She was born in Oslo. She participated at the 1960 Winter Olympics in Squaw Valley and at the 1964 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck, competing in downhill, slalom and giant slalom. Her best result was 7th place in slalom in 1964. She is the mother of alpinist Finn Christian Jagge. [1] She won ten national tennis championships in double, and one in mixed double. [2]

In 1962 she became Norwegian champion in all four alpine disciplines (slalom, giant slalom, downhill and alpine combined).

At the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, Norway, the six alpine skiing events were held from Thursday, 14 February, to Wednesday, 20 February. The downhill and giant slalom events were held at Norefjell in Krødsherad, Buskerud, and the slalom events at Rødkleiva in Oslo.

Finn Christian "Finken" Jagge was a Norwegian alpine skier. He was the son of alpine skier Liv Jagge-Christiansen and tennis player Finn Dag Jagge. In the World Cup he won seven slalom victories. He also won the Norwegian Championship eight times. His career highlight came with the gold medal in the slalom competition at the 1992 Olympics in Albertville. He retired in 2000. He trained the Norwegian women ski team from 2005 to 2007. He worked for the Norwegian telecom company Ludo and later as a Partner Headhunter for Dynamic People Headhunting in Oslo. Jagge won the Norwegian reality TV show Mesternes Mester in 2011. He was 54 years old, when he died after a short illness in July 2020. He was married to Trine-Lise Jagge and had two children.

Lebanon at the 1952 Winter Olympics Sporting event delegation

Lebanon sent a delegation to compete at the 1952 Winter Olympics in Oslo, Norway from 14–25 February 1952. This was the country's second time competing in a Winter Olympic Games, after their first appearance four years prior. Lebanon was represented in these Olympics by a single alpine skier, Ibrahim Geagea. He competed in three events, and his best finish was 57th in the men's downhill competition.
