Live at Sturgis 2006 is a live concert DVD filmed by Canadian rock band, Nickelback. It is the band's first live DVD since 2002's release of Live at Home. The DVD was released exclusively at Walmart stores on December 2, 2008. [1] The concert was filmed in 2006 in Sturgis, South Dakota during the tour supporting their album All the Right Reasons . The concert was at the Sturgis 2006 "Rockin’ The Rally" Show at the Sturgis Bike Rally on August 8, 2006. Filmed in Hi Definition by 15 cameras, there was a crowd of 35,000 attending the performance. [2] The DVD was meant to be released in December 2007, but was delayed to coincide with the release of their album Dark Horse which had come out on November 18, 2008, a year later. The Blu-ray Disc release of Live At Sturgis was released in late 2009. It was certificated Gold by the RIAA. [3]

The album topped the Canadian Albums Chart and the US Billboard 200 albums chart and has sold 11 million copies worldwide. It is Nickelback's best-selling album to date, according to certifications from the MC, the RIAA, the BPI, and the ARIA. Seven singles were released from the album. The album re-entered the Finland Albums Chart in 2010, setting a new peak position at number 21.

The concert was in Edmonton on January 25, 2002, at Skyreach Centre. The concert contained an audience of 25,000 people, the greatest number of people to ever attend the arena. Near the end of the show Jerry Cantrell, joined the group to perform the song "It Ain't Like That". During the encore, the band performs an acoustic version of the song "Mistake", a cover of Big Wreck.

Released December 5, 2006 by Roadrunner Records, the 2-disc DVD set features an 84-minute movie created by band member Shawn "Clown" Crahan. The set also includes live performances, music videos from songs on the band's third studio album, Vol. 3: , and the first unmasked interviews with all of the band members. The movie featured footage recorded from the recording of Vol. 3: through the end of the tour in support of the album spanning a total of 28 months. Dark Horse is the sixth studio album by the Canadian rock band Nickelback, released on November 17, 2008 in Europe and the next day elsewhere. It is the follow-up to their multi-platinum selling All the Right Reasons (2005). It was co-produced by the band and producer and songwriter Robert John "Mutt" Lange, known for working with such acts as Foreigner, AC/DC, Bryan Adams, Def Leppard and Shania Twain.
