Live from the Legendary Sun Studios is a live album by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. It was recorded over several sessions at the famed Sun Studio in Memphis in 2008, while the band was on tour.

The live album was released on Record Store Day 2012. It is available on both CD and Vinyl.

Le Studio

Le Studio was a residential recording studio in the Laurentian Mountains near the town of Morin-Heights, Quebec, Canada built in 1972 by recording engineer and producer André Perry, Nick Blagona and Yaël Brandeis. The studio, where artists recorded and stayed, was the venue for many notable Canadian and international artists, including Rush, The Police, Bee Gees, Chicago, David Bowie, April Wine and Cat Stevens and Vain (band). Perry described the facility as "like the United Nations. I had people from London, New York, Quebec, all over the world."

Billy Cox American bassist

William Cox is an American bassist, best known for performing with Jimi Hendrix. Cox is the only surviving musician to have regularly played with Hendrix: first with the experimental group that backed Hendrix at Woodstock, followed by the trio with drummer Buddy Miles that recorded the live Band of Gypsys album, and, lastly, The Cry of Love Tour trio with Mitch Mitchell back on drums. Cox continues to perform dates with the Band of Gypsys Experience and the Experience Hendrix Tour.
