Llwydcoed railway station served the village of Llwydcoed, in the historical county of Glamorganshire, Wales, from 1853 to 1962 on the Vale of Neath Railway.
The station was opened on 2 November 1853 by the Great Western Railway. It was erroneously known as Llwydcoed[ clarification needed ] in the 1862 edition of the handbook of stations and Llurydcoed in 1867. It was corrected in 1872. The station closed on 31 December 1962. [1] [2]
There have been many railway stations in Newport, due to its importance as a port for the industrial Monmouthshire and Glamorganshire valleys. The only stations in use at the moment are Newport in the city centre and in the Western valley Pye Corner and Rogerstone.
Llwydcoed is a small village and community north of the Cwm Cynon, near the town of Aberdare, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales, with a population of 1,302 as of 2011 census.

Waddington railway station was a station in Waddington, Lincolnshire which opened on 15 April 1867 but closed for passengers on 10 September 1962 and for freight in 1964. The line through the station remained open until 1965.
Latchford railway station was a station in Latchford, Cheshire, England. The first station at Latchford was called Latchford and Grappenhall Road and opened in 1853; this was renamed Latchford in June 1854 but it closed in 1893, when a new alignment was opened in connection with the construction of the Manchester Ship Canal, and a new Latchford station was opened nearby. This closed to passengers on 10 September 1962. The station was on the LNWR's Ditton Junction to Skelton Junction line and was used by Ditton Junction–Manchester and Liverpool–Manchester through trains.
