Justin Gunnar Walter Chancellor is an English musician formerly in the band Peach but best known as the bass player for progressive metal band Tool. Chancellor is of English and Norwegian descent. After settling in the US, along with his engagement in his musical projects, he and his wife Shelee Dykman Chancellor ran a store called Lobal Orning in Topanga, California, dedicated to music and literature "that shaped and changed" both of them. The store closed in 2008. He started M.T.Void music project with Piotr "Glaca" Mohammed from Sweet Noise. In October 2012, Chancellor featured as bass player on the song "In the Spirit Of..." on The Fusion Syndicate album, released by Cleopatra Records. His track also appears on the 2014 album The Prog Box.
Mulholland Drive is a street and road in the eastern Santa Monica Mountains of Southern California. It is named after pioneering Los Angeles civil engineer William Mulholland. The western rural portion in Los Angeles and Ventura Counties is named Mulholland Highway. The road is featured in a significant number of movies, songs, and novels. David Lynch, who wrote and directed a film named after Mulholland Drive, has said that one can feel "the history of Hollywood" on it. Academy Award–winning actor Jack Nicholson has resided at Mulholland Drive for many years and still lives there today.

Marvin Braude Mulholland Gateway Park is a 1,500-acre (6.1 km2) park in the Santa Monica Mountains, with its trailhead at the southern terminus of Reseda Boulevard in Tarzana, Los Angeles, California. The park was named for former Los Angeles City Councilman Marvin Braude, who for more than 30 years led the effort to preserve the Santa Monica Mountains. Owned by the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, the park is withon the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area.

The Blackstone Building is a 1916 structure located at 901 South Broadway in Los Angeles, California. It has been listed as a Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument since 2003. The Blackstone Department Store Building is an early example of the work of John B. Parkinson, Los Angeles’ preeminent architect of the early 20th century, who also designed Bullocks Wilshire. The building is clad in gray terra cotta and styled in the Beaux Arts school.
Wilcox Avenue is a major avenue of Los Angeles, running north–south through Hollywood, to the west of Cahuenga Boulevard. It begins to the north of Franklin Avenue from North Cahuenga Boulevard, and then runs south, crossing Sunset Boulevard, Santa Monica Boulevard and Melrose Avenue. The avenue grew primarily as an affluent residential road in the early 20th century, with the building of expensive luxury apartments. Silent actress Rosemary Theby once lived at 1907 Wilcox Avenue. The Mark Twain Hotel, a white stucco hotel named after writer Mark Twain, is located at 1622 Wilcox and was recently (2016) restored and converted into a boutique inn. There are several bars and restaurants including Paladar, a Cuban restaurant and bar at 1651 Wilcox Avenue, and The Nacional, a Havana-style cocktail bar next door at 1645. 1626 North Wilcox Avenue is the location of a company known as Hollywood Mail which rents hundreds of physical addresses for those who wish to make it appear that their business is actually located at that address.

May Company California was the department store anchor and it had 30 specialty and high fashion shops, an ice skating rink, restaurants, snack facilities and a central mall. Prior to the opening of the Laurel Plaza mall, May Co. marketed itself as part of Valley Plaza, a catch-all name for diverse shopping areas along Laurel Canyon and Victory boulevards.
